Thanks Tiger....Did not realise you had a decent holding. I now personally know holders of 11% of the company as one of the notifiable holders has made contact too.

Are you going to the Agm as it is relatively close to you in Derby and just down the M1?

As a company we are therefore very vulnerable to a takeover as the bidder just needs to gain approval from the three large holders and the company will be taken away from us.

The directors only have the 4.77% held by the CEO as the FD sold all of her stake recently. Do any of you know the sub 5% holders or maybe even post on here? I met a 2% holder at Mello last week and know a couple of investors who have around 1%.

Is anyone here attending the AGM on the 5th June?

Boystown....I do agree that the remuneration is in the highest decile for AIM listed companies and certainly for such a small company albeit all recruitment company boards are in that region.

My belief is that so long as directors deliver for shareholders then I can accept bonuses being paid (although prefer half paper not all cash). They have certainly delivered and then some.

You also have to assume that any larger company looking to acquire RTC will know this and see the huge savings to be made. The board only have 5% of the company shares so will be difficult to defend against a bid.

The problem here is one of trust and appropriate remuneration surely?

Last year, just two directors' salaries amounted to £1.13m (c.10% of current market AFTER it's already more than quadrupled in a few months).

And in the past, they've awarded themselves loads of shares iirc?

It still looks reasonable value on the surface of things, I can see that, but they're quite hard to trust?

Thanks for sharing that David. I just test the market occasionally, tried to sell 2000 this afternoon and it was impossible.

They only have to guarantee a price for the quoted NMS Normal Market Size.

I just bought 5000 at 92.75p which is a shade over the mid price....happy with that.

I am not a trader so buying ahead of the divi date is good for me and there should be news again soon as the Agm is next month

I think the strange behaviour of MMs probably in conjunction with brokers and the huge spread in prices is cause for the depressed state of the UK Stock Market. If they want to manipulate prices they just trade in impossible low quantities.

At present MM only selling stock. You can buy but not sell. Trying to keep share price up and get rid of stock. Strange.

Been doing dummy trades last few days with a view to timing a top up as we approach the ex div date. Haven't been able to sell 5k since yesterday whilst the underlying Offer has drifted lower to 93.1p

Of course it could flip higher in an instant but hoping to be able to buy some just below 90p.

When you consider the cost of the two executive directors being £1.2m buying the company and removing these costs would increase the profit from £2.7m to £3.9m. That would put the company on a PE of about 4.5

It was on a p/e of 7 and yield of 7% with revenue growth coming and IMHO ripe for a takeover by a larger company in the sector that would benefit from the cost savings.

I would like it to be independent and reaping the benefits via increased dividends but sadly smaller companies like this cannot benefit from a listing as it costs too much compared to the £12m market cap and HQ overheads when the company is unlikely to raise any money via the share capital.

One thing for sure is that the Derby Conference Centre is doing very well. We tried to book a two day conference there in October or November and nearly every possible option was already fully booked. We then found a 50% possible option but 33 of the 48 bedrooms were already booked up and that is six months before the event and at about £100 a night....Rates have skyrocketed since their refurb and the increased demand since Covid

I do not think RTC supply any workers to build trains for Alstom or anyone else. The contracts they have are to supply maintenance workers for the tracks and routes that the trains are running on so I do not see this affecting them.

Good to see lots of trades but they really should tighten that spread as it just puts investors off even though you can trade well inside.
