Yes you are right 25000 @72p
I'll hold them until results.
Amazing when you couldn't sell them for 20p a year ago!

herbert0...You could sell 25k shares at 70p as the MMs want them as the NMS is much lower than that.

I should think the MMs have just about got their 50,000 shares so soon you won't be able to sell them again.

Someone bought 50k at 72.67p so I think we are heading higher as the market needs to supply the stock.

The market makers are chasing for stock so there is a keen buyer for sure.

If the company has had just a steady H2 then 11p eps is likely and so with good asset backing and long term contracts this is my pick of the recruiters. There is the good chance of a bid too as those who follow the company will be aware.

I think I've missed the boat on this. Very hard to buy, ie big spread.

I think profits will be as good in the second half, yes about 11p.
Do you know how long the lease is for the Derby CC? Valuable assets here compared to other recruiters with so much GW, wish I'd bought when there were no profits but obvious value in the Balance S

Maybe a year end update is on the way. I am fairly confident that the full year eps will be at least 11p. Any other views from holders?

There are times you just can't sell these, typical of small caps.

Personally I do not want a bid to come in until the company is valued sensibly.

I am happy to see the company continue rebuilding so well following the lull during the pandemic. I fully expect the second half to be slightly better than the first as it usually is. That should mean 11 to 12p of earnings per share and at least 3p in dividends. A sensible multiple is about 8x for a recruiter especially with the asset backing and so I think we will see 88p to 96p by the time of the full year results.

If forecasts are then for a stronger 2024 there is no reason why this share price cannot at least double by this time next year. On that basis a bid at probably a measly 30% premium, where many are pitched in these tough markets, simply does not work for me and the higher the share price goes then the harder it will be to steal it.

A good time to be a shareholder.

With an order book over £200m, pre-tax for the full year of around £2m, and current assets less all liabilities of just under £3m, a mkt cap of £8.7m at 59.5pps seems extremely low.

Surely around £1.5m - £1.6m in post-tax for the full year deserves a reasonable P/E - even for a recruiter - if the market is confident it can be maintained (and with the order book value, why not?).

So even if you're extremely stingy with the P/E, as the market often is with recruiters, and you add in the afore-mentioned £3m, then you have to come to a mkt cap of around £13m / 89pps.

And if it was sold for anything like that price, investors would be furious at the "low-ball offer" etc etc., so I hope davidosh is right.

If RTC do as well next half earnings will be 10.4p and they are on a PE of 6 which is cheap. The mms trying to get stock I think the buys could actually be sells?

This now looks set to break through the 60p level.

I have a hunch that we could end up in a bid situation as there are stakes that are potentially available especially with the sad news about the late chairman.

I think they are doing really well as a company now and I just wonder what will happen to the late chairman’s holding as it could potentially lead to a bidding situation.

I will try to arrange a presentation with Q&A for next month once the busy period for company results releases is out of the way

Before the inerim results we couldn't sell. Now we can't buy. There must be a lesson here?

I see that buyers are still coming in even after we past the dividend date. That is a positive and overall I expect a 3p dividend payout for the full year as the outlook was positive and RTC always had a 1p/2p split pre pandemic. That equates to a yield of about 7% for the full year.

Just a reminder on the outlook statement...

Outlook
We remain cautiously confident that our progress will continue in the second half of 2023. We continue to invest in our businesses and to further strengthen our balance sheet through retained profits."

The interim report is available on the Company's website www.rtcgroupplc.co.uk.
