09/9/2005 20:52 | milacs, If all the tradings over the last 4 years are considerd as consolidation, such a launch pad can comfortably support a rise to a level far beyond 220P. | rafieh

07/7/2005 09:56 | This statement in the Corporate Governance section of the last results caught my eye at the time. I'm wondering if it could be significant: "We are well advanced in preparing for the introduction of IFRS. The most significant change in our reported results will relate to the treatment of goodwill. Amortisation will no longer be required unless impairment is demonstrated." With amortisation having a big effect on EPS.... [Basic earnings per share: After goodwill amortisation 6.15 Before goodwill amortisation 9.41 ] ....would such a reporting change have a significant effect on the share price ?? Seems to me that the lower EPS is the one widely reported and used to calculate PE ratios and so allow pundits to declare the share 'expensive' .... any thoughts? | dull gull

09/5/2005 15:18 | ...the profitability in the base business was down significantly thru price competition and that the new heads were to do with all the acquired businesses. Try scrolling back and reading the thread - it's not too difficult! | phillis |
