17/3/2004 11:15 | I seem to have made another bad call on this one. What you say about patience is so true. Bought back in when the big buys started going through at 137, but price still faltering. | ![]() alcornwall
17/3/2004 10:48 | Alcornwall Sure is! I guess you must be right about the statement on margins but it seems they are able to produce the results even so.I am a long term though small holder in this group and think it is a well organised specialist in its field and knows where its going so on seeing the drop this morning I saw it as a buying opportunity rather than a set back and I set a buy order at 139. Unfortunately I was too keen and cancelled it when I saw some buys go through at 145 and re-ordered at 140. I should have been patient as now at 135.5 and rising. I think the MMs hold on to their price even though they are sitting on stock but then release it slowly gradually dropping the price to mop up the maximum number of buyers; the lesson is not to be too hasty. However time will tell all, and I am confident for the future. At the moment it seems that almost all stocks are getting hammered after results. Perhaps its the time of year. It would be nice to get some more in depth analysis on this notice board from some of the more knowledgeable BBers that make magical calculations for future PEGs etc....anyone out there | a3477681

17/3/2004 10:30 | Pugugly, will be interested to see your findings, will check figures myself when I have a minute. My first reaction is that this is oversold, however this may also not be the case. | sofa surfer
17/3/2004 10:23 | Looks as though the market has downgraded potential growth rate - Note on relativley high p/e and low yield (Still ahve to run exact calculations) | ![]() pugugly
17/3/2004 09:14 | the signs were there yesterday - all sells. Wish i'd sold then - isn't hindsight a wonderful thing. I guess the fall may be attributable to the statement in the report about increased costs in 1st half of year impacting on margins. I sold out at 144 and have taken a loss. But will think about getting back in at these levels. | ![]() alcornwall
