22/6/2017 13:27 | sold yesterday at 748p after only investing in it last week, the ongoing downward trend is worrying. Having said that, this company is a leader in its field and will definetely keep looking at a better (long term) entry point | mister md
22/6/2017 13:23 | This is profoundly depressing. | alastair33uk

22/6/2017 11:46 | Never mind. The big trade at 726p disappeared. Maybe I'll get a chance to top up after all. | dl6789
22/6/2017 11:21 | I have L2 and it looks like there's a bit of support at the 726p level. Wish I topped up at 720p now. | dl6789
22/6/2017 10:59 | And it looks like I sold right at the bottom unless this uptick is another false breakout. | fizzypop
22/6/2017 10:41 | In the days of Hanson and Williams thereafter it was the practice to make huge provisions¨on acquisition for "reorganisation", some of which was released back to the P&L in subsequent years Doesn´t happen here of course | phillis
22/6/2017 10:14 | The hunter becomes the hunted. I hope we find support here and the price stabilises it's may well test 700. I'm sitting on a cool 14% loss. We saw a similar price movement late June last year. | alastair33uk
22/6/2017 10:06 | Mentioned earlier this year it reminded me a little of the late 80's In terms of its acquisitive strategy. Sometimes it becomes more challenging to assess underlying quality with frequent additions. | essentialinvestor
22/6/2017 10:01 | The acquisitive buying the acquisitive? | prokartace
22/6/2017 09:52 | At this sort of level is it possible that it could be on the radar for a predator? | fez77
22/6/2017 09:38 | I think a focal problem seems to the 'acquisitions' arguments, 'too many'. The analogy goes.... 'if you start the car in top gear and you try to move away, it stalls'. However this completely ignores the car's position and the drivers gear control. If the car is at the top of a hill and the driver has full control of his gearbox, the odds that the car wont stall, the hill's incline and the expert gear control, will probably ease the car into a worthwhile roller coaster ride. OK most of the time, the car stalls, but sometimes it doesn't. In RPC's case, my own opinion, based on the drivers track record and expertise, is that the driver is a consummate expert, with good gearbox management control, at the top of a hill, the 'Honey Pot' is at the bottom of the hill. I know, a bit of a rambling analogy, but in my view very apt. Fingers crossed, let's all hope I'm right ! | billywhizz1
21/6/2017 22:26 | I would have thought the fall in oil price would help RPC, considering they used to complain about the rising oil price in 2013/2014. I know they pass on most of the savings to customers, but there is always a lag where the benefit is significant. It seems we are just not flavour of the month at the moment | beckaroo
21/6/2017 22:24 | These are starting to look decent value now. On a 25% discount to ds smith who also have similar debt. Also operate in less cyclical markets so this is pretty unjustified. Difficult to catch a falling knife though! | spoole5
21/6/2017 18:31 | Well the last update was pretty good - other than the fact that they didn't even mention the elephant in the room that is the accusation of accounting dodges. I don't buy the argument for a minute, but I don't think ignoring it did them any good. | jeffian
21/6/2017 17:50 | I very much hope so Martinthebrave. | kendaljohn
21/6/2017 17:22 | AGM & Q1 Update in 4 weeks time (19th Jul) will hopefully act as a catalyst to turn things around. | martinthebrave
21/6/2017 15:07 | Let's see where we are in six months. We've just got tough this out. | alastair33uk
21/6/2017 14:49 | And now the chart suggests I will lose at least 10% more | prokartace
21/6/2017 14:48 | Nice move Richard, don't think I have ever in 30 years of investment lost 5% in the 1st 2 days | prokartace
