Yield at 1250 and $1.17 is 13%
Great value above 10% yield.

You can buy inside the spread and the 24% discount to NAV will more than make up for spread, the discount is usually much smaller and you get diversification and less exposed to dividend cuts as the trust holds cash to pay out.

I do hold RDSB separately though.

Though worth bearing in mind that the spread on BERI is 6%, & TER 1.479%!

Blackrock Energy and Resources Income Trust (BERI) holds RDSB BHP and BP all of which are up 10%+ today

But BERI only up 3% and goes ex div Thursday, it has fallen to a 20% discount and a 10% yield...

Those that missed RDSB can still get on....

Best thing ever which I been calling for, cancel buybacks and give the money towards dividends.

they basically said in the RNS yesterday that they would continue to pay the dividend, they are taking measures to protect the balance sheet.

After buying BG , they issued Script divvies and that is what the buyback were for to cancel that script.

Oil at these prices decimates most of the main oil producers, Saudi need over 80 bucks barrel to maintain their budgets. etc etc

Oil prices will surely rise in the next 6 to 12 months.

IMO this was way oversold, during the BG thing it fell to 12 pounds..i expect this to be doing great for long term holders.

The three big dividend payers fund managers are praying pay, they rely on them so much, GSK, HSBC, Shell, I think they will all pay, Shell may be a 50% cut. But still a fantastic yield.

If they even pay 50% of dividend, what a yield.

Which would affect earnings the most, a 50% rise in gas pricing or a 50% rise in brent?
