16/7/2019 18:15 | If remainers could by proroguing parliament stop brexit, they would do it in a blink and to hell with the consequences. | maxk

16/7/2019 07:29 | Loads of tweets regarding last night's head-to-head and this one from Peston seems to me to be one of the more significant - he has written a piece on ITV.com as a result: Maybe I missed something but @BorisJohnson and @Jeremy_Hunt just seemed to me to have made a no-deal Brexit official government policy. unquote If this is how it goes later this year, I don't see it as a plus for UK bank SPs in the foreseeable. Another bout of stock building to come too? | polar fox
12/7/2019 16:47 | gcom, Last Friday, I posted that the share price needed to get to 232, then correct, to give the cup and handle alternative a chance. It got there today: on a OHLC chart, a horizontal can now be drawn at 232 across to the high on May 16. We'll see what next week brings - a correction to 225 or so, or a continuation of the uptrend, in which case a bowl would become more likely. Will the Iranians do anything over the weekend, before the destroyer arrives? | polar fox
12/7/2019 08:17 | All we need now is polar fox to get eaten! These diplomats are as USELESS as the MPs who are apparently moaning. We should THROW nearly ALL THE MPs under the bus along with the US ambassador!!! Still RBS running up | cfc1

10/7/2019 19:37 | Things are happening but don't press me for details ! "The court heard today that Scottish Widows and the other funds were all members of a group of claimants that engaged the RBOS Shareholders Action Group Ltd in 2014 to pursue the rights issue claim against RBS and.........." "Institutional investors accused of failing to pay their share of costs to secure a £200 million ($254 million) settlement for RBS shareholders argued Wednesday that Manx Capital Partners should not be allowed to pursue the expenses on behalf of other shareholders. Three Lloyds Banking Group PLC subsidiaries and several other pension and wealth funds being sued by Manx have applied to the High Court for an order stating that the firm is not permitted to advance the claim it has brought against them on behalf of thousands of shareholders in Royal Bank of Scotland PLC. Roger Stewart QC, representing the funds, said that under court procedure rules, a party that brings a claim on behalf of more than one person needs to have the .........." | chinese investor
10/7/2019 11:57 | Darroch quits! - BBC. PMQs should be fun.... Edit: BBC pointing out that TM has time to appoint a replacement in Washington. A very angry Alan Duncan just stuck the knife into Boris the Buffoon, big time, accusing him of throwing the ambassador under the bus last night. Great politics to watch. Dreadful for the country, of course. | polar fox
10/7/2019 11:24 | BBC: Former prime minister Sir John Major has told the BBC he would seek a judicial review in the courts if the new prime minister tried to suspend Parliament to deliver a no-deal Brexit. unquote Regarding the above, Lord Faulkner just said, on 231, that he thinks a judicial review might well succeed, much as Gina Miller's did regarding A50. I listened to the interview with Major and he made a good case for his view. We'll see. Faulkner suggested that a written undertaking not to prorogue should be requested from the next PM and, if it isn't forthcoming, take it to court. | polar fox
07/7/2019 15:23 | DM: Boris Johnson won't say if partner Carrie Symonds will move into 10 Downing Street with him if he becomes prime minister because he says it is too 'presumptuous'. unquote After he spilt the red wine and she shouted "get out of my flat!", you don't have to be too bright to see how the lying rat will most likely decide. Until then, it's weasel words, something in which he excels. | polar fox
05/7/2019 16:48 | Possibly, or a cup and handle. It needs to go to 232 first, then correct, then move up again. Worth keeping an eye on, for a potential target around 254, IF it unfolds as outlined. | polar fox
05/7/2019 14:43 | bowl on the chart | gcom2
05/7/2019 09:47 | Dec 2014 - RBS hit 400p today ....... July 2018 - RBS 245p since then nothing but positive news out of RBS and even a divi! We jut need damn Brexit sorted! | cfc1
05/7/2019 07:22 | This ties in with our thinking. FT: Tory MPs on autumn election alert Johnson says he doesn’t want to go to the polls but Brexit failure could force his hand. unquote | polar fox |
