16/1/2019 12:32 | Read my post. A no deal Brexit will not happen. Parliament will pass legislation with the help of the `Speaker to allow Parliament to decide whether and what terms the UK leaves. That will happen either this month or next. | leedskier
16/1/2019 12:30 | Leeds I think the EU had to wait for the vote - as did the PM. NOw the vote is done then the EU now KNOWS the deal is dead. THey need to get back to the table or face the NO DEAL option. Lets not underestimate the damage that will do to them as well as us. We are the 5th largest economy in the world and 2nd largest in the EEA! The EU WILL have to change their stance. Lets not forget their are only FOUR countries (if that) that matter in the EU and it appears to be imploding anyway! | cfc1
16/1/2019 12:29 | A "no deal" Brexit will not happen. Parliament will not allow it. The Majority of the Cabinet will not allow it. | leedskier
16/1/2019 12:22 | May could call their bluff and say there's no deal unless the backstop is removed. Germany have far more to lose than us. | smurfy2001
16/1/2019 12:13 | The EU will NOT renegotiate around the PM's current redlines. She cannot have her cake and half penny. Half her cabinet and more than half of Tory MPs are relaxed about freedom of movement. Norway has freedom of movement with the EU. | leedskier
16/1/2019 12:04 | HI Leeds. We PM will win no confidence tonight and then the EU MUST realise the deal needs to be altered or its no deal at all - which is in niether the eu or our interests - agreed? | cfc1
16/1/2019 11:32 | No 10 said on Tuesday, after the vote, that the same principles that governed May’s Brexit deal would be applied to a future deal. “We want to deliver an orderly Brexit with a deal. One that protects our union, gives us control of our borders, laws and money, and means we have an independent trade policy,” === Impossible! | leedskier
16/1/2019 09:44 | Hopefully CI. I suspect the court cases will lead to further court cases though. What's happened to the police investigation ? | m1k3y1
16/1/2019 09:37 | I expect we'll get a better update at the end of the month i.e. after these court cases. | chinese investor
16/1/2019 09:16 | Just received the latest update from Signature Litigation and, don't know about you guys, but thought it rather disappointing in that there was nothing of any moment in it. Indeed the lack of any mention on Walsh's £3.5m demand for example was extremely surprising! Wasn't Walsh due back in court this month? Again, no mention! Very, very disappointing. | barmiddleton
15/1/2019 20:21 | Got it CI, thank you . | m1k3y1
14/1/2019 16:32 | What's with the erection? Is RBS getting excited by May? | tradejunkie2
14/1/2019 12:16 | surprised to see the share price holding up well given the impending mess that will result from May getting hammered in the HoP tomorrow but the market doesnt expect a 'no deal' scenario and hence shares holding up? | cfc1

07/1/2019 14:33 | I still think the FTSE is due another big fall. Possibly enough to reach an official bear market. Also depending on the out come of the BRXIT negotiations fiasco. | tfergi
07/1/2019 12:27 | Lol...and if you recall my question "what changes?"...;) | ramco

29/12/2018 20:45 | The present USA Market = A Value trap IMO Watch OIL and Consumer confidence charts ............... Alzheimer's and Parkinson's and You and Me ................. This is a very serious post , well meant and factual as I have spent well over 10 years looking into these diseases , their spread and their causes. Nearly everyone reading this post will; like me, have lost someone dear to them to one of these diseases. They are very common and more of us are getting them. Alzheimer's is the worst killer, there is no cure and they don't even today know what causes it. Parkinson's next then several other disease , ALL are termed together as forms of ''Dementia '' if the type has not been properly diagnosed. This is a fact: In the USA 1 in 3 seniors dies with some form of dementia. A senior being a person over the age of 65 Here is another fact: Proportion of People With Alzheimer’s Disease in the United States by Age: 85+ years = 38% 75-84 years = 44% 65-74 years = 15% Let us pause for a moment and look at that last one remembering that these facts are based upon factual data and that many families look after their own sick family member suffering from Alzheimer's but DON"T report it or take them to the doctors. Hence for me the worrying biggest %age is that the true number of Alzheimer's cases is very likely to be 75-84 years = 50% 1 in every 2 persons ... half of the population of the USA in that age group The exact factual numbers will rise to 50% because of another fact : Between 2017 and 2025 every state is expected to see at least a 14% rise in the prevalence of Alzheimer’s. Enough to think about ... apart from the fact that I will be leading to a disturbing conclusion which recent clinical studies and studies now in progress might well confirm what I have suspected for the last 5 years These diseases are in fact 'Prion Diseases' , nothing was known about Prions till a few decades ago , recently CJD and all its variants have been identified as Prion Diseases ... new technologies and tests now exist to see and identify Prions These technologies and tests and test equipment never existed a century ago when Aloysius Alzheimer called his new dementia discovery Alzheimer's. or Two hundred years ago when a 'shaking palsy' was called Parkinson's by a surgeon named James Parkinson. Seems to me like many in the sciences and medical professions love to have their name remembered and spawn whole industries in the process that last for hundreds of years and make and lose $Trillions. Facts from : Some Facts on Parkinson's And some reading on Prions: note they are virtually indestructible Can Prions be killed? You Can't Kill What Isn't Alive. Prions cannot be destroyed by boiling, alcohol, acid, standard autoclaving methods, or radiation. In fact, infected brains that have been sitting in formaldehyde for decades can still transmit spongiform disease. Cooking your burger 'til it's well done won't destroy the prions! And some on Prion Diseases That last link is a USA Government link and is VERY poor It does not mention sCJD or the fact that around 50% of USA North America , 26 states have CWD , CWD has been found in Finland and recently CWD has been identified in Algerian Camels However the CDC wants to call this a new name CPD Camel Prion Disease If that is the case let us now rename all the other animal diseases as what they are The list will be VERY long I will post it another time I will end this one as follows Prion diseases are spreading into various forms of animals and surprisingly and more worrying plants and grains Humans have acquired Prion Disease from eating infected animals ie Beef Since the BSE Mad Cow disease crisis several other species of animals have been identified as having Prion Disease eg Deer , Elk , Moose and Camel The spread of numbers of people with Alzheimer's continues to worsen IMO the two are linked So I find it a puzzle as to why this Are Governments trying to stop a panic ? | buywell3
