25/4/2017 13:50 | Sold position @ 2.5425 ----- smurfy20013 Mar '17 - 14:29 - 146792 of 147340 0 0 Edit Yeah seen that video. One reason l bought a new position @ 239.13 in another portfolio. | smurfy2001
25/4/2017 06:42 | OK, Rosenstein finally confirmed as No.2 at the DoJ. We will have to wait and see later as regards Rachel Brand. The entire Senate has been invited to the White House tomorrow for a briefing on N Korea - a very unusual move - so that may disrupt scheduling a little. | polar fox
25/4/2017 04:49 | A break and hold over 260 could lead to an unopposed rise to the next resistance level around 300-310, and with the pricing period for the new shares now completed, there should be little to hold it back. | steve73
24/4/2017 22:11 | I'm looking for 259 for my short term trade in the ISA. Still worth trading this dog at these levels. | smurfy2001
24/4/2017 15:55 | Back in the real world, bear in mind that the Senate is returning today, Perdue and Rosenstein are due to be confirmed by the full Senate this evening and Rachel Brand then would be listed second, for confirmation, on the Calendar, BUT she is not yet pencilled in with her own date with destiny, so to speak. I'll keep checking, fear not. | polar fox
24/4/2017 15:45 | LOL ; | avatar333
24/4/2017 15:12 | So let's all hope that the SPX goes to 3,000, the FTSE gets sucked along to 8,000+ and the RBS share price does the business too! | polar fox
24/4/2017 14:54 | Polar....I guess I am always optimistic ...wouldn't do what I do if not!! But I think im just dogged about RBS - so much invested, wont walk away, holding (like 90%) of others and think it has to turn one day - the reveral of the old saying...>"all good things have to end"...IN RBS case all bad things have to change!!!!!!! SO I think with gov't sell off, DoJ fine this year... return to private bank, divi and big insitutions back and perhaps Chinese interest then the stock flies! | cfc1
24/4/2017 14:36 | The avatars gcom2 and cfc1 are always optimistic. ; | avatar333
24/4/2017 13:16 | I bought into both Lloyds and RBS last October, basically based on the charts and TA. I'm not interested in buying more RBS, but happy to take advantage of Lloyds' DRIP. I guess my view is therefore very different to your own, based on your comments on here. Broadly speaking, I'm just not as optimistic as you seem to be(about RBS), but I'll happily accept the benefits of you and gcom being proved right in the next year or two! | polar fox
24/4/2017 11:51 | Polar thanks. So you are not a buyer of RBS at these levels? I get what your saying but at equ of 24p they are v cheap. Think ITC lssues and all else are coming to an end so finally (9-10 years) later I think we see light at the end of the tunnel regardless of Brexit...if we return to Dvi then investors will pile in - they always look for value | cfc1
24/4/2017 11:27 | If you look current RBS mcap vs forward looking profit when the fines have finished- whenever that will be, and who know when, its actually incredibly cheap, forward p/e is around 5 or 6. question is, will the bank-bashers one day ever give up. | gcom2
24/4/2017 10:35 | Hmmm. I'm reluctant to comment in any detail, mainly because I don't want to risk 'rocking the boat' with you, cfc. Relatively speaking, I think Brexit is going to be a negative for the UK economy in coming years and this will affect investment attitudes in this country and abroad. I have some trouble seeing the big banks being takeover targets, especially RBS, with all of its legacy issues and Jurassic IT. I have accounts all over and, for me, NatWest is the pits and my balances with them deliberately reflect that. Changing tack a little, my favourite US analyst - I've mentioned him before - thinks that the SPX is on a run to 3,000-ish; it currently stands at 2,350. So I'm willing to let my limited UK investments run, for the time being, in the hope that there will be some coat-tail effect. But Dr Pangloss isn't sitting on my shoulder - I've been at this game too long for that! It may be smart just to leave it that, at this stage, while we follow developments.... | polar fox
24/4/2017 09:23 | Polar - I think we will see takeover targets in the Banking sector soon. Once Gov't sells off stake in RBS and fine sorted with DoJ then RBS is a big target. Whats your thinking? | cfc1
24/4/2017 07:20 | Markets are reacting very positively to the idea of Macron, a Europhile, becoming President in a couple of weeks. FTSE currently about 90 points higher than Friday's close, on IG. | polar fox
23/4/2017 20:03 | RBS could post a small profit next week vs a £1B loss last time around - now that would be a change!!! | cfc1
22/4/2017 10:16 | The Government Ministry could chip in with a few million ! | chinese investor
22/4/2017 09:27 | Former business secretary Vince Cable has lashed-out at the “obscene” | chinese investor
21/4/2017 08:49 | things could get v interesting for RBS! Gov't sells it stake and DpoJ fine sorted means bank will be wide open to buyers - remember the Chinese interest a while back. Banking sector primed for takeover and UK bank stock is cheap! | cfc1
20/4/2017 12:50 | hester got it to 415p around 2013 , not so far off their target, they forget that. | gcom2
20/4/2017 11:23 | the RBS bailout was NOT an investment it was essential to stop our UKI banks going into meltdown!! that is what the chancellor understands correctly and boy George didn't. Its not a matter of loss or gain - it was protection. | cfc1
20/4/2017 11:02 | several million who were taxpayers in 2008 will now be retired. will they get free shares? | gcom2
20/4/2017 10:49 | Polor fox, yeah they should why not if they getting rid of them at a loss ;) | smurfy2001 |
