"I think we will see a weak payrolls number," said Fred Goodwin, cross-asset strategist at State Street.

What an unfortunate name for the analyst, and I love the way they quickly point it out on his career sheet!!!!

It is funny about the Netherlands. Back in 2011 when everyone in Northern Europe was baying for Greek blood, a Netherlands Minister was at the fore in demanding that new stringent deficits targets should be introduced. Then it was pointed out to the Minister that the Netherlands would never pass them.

Don't worry leeds, they can keep buying stocks with the newly printed toilet paper ;)

Looking at everything I fear we are setting up for a massive crash. Debts are higher, deficits are still high, banks stuffed with worthless sovereign bonds, etc, etc

This mass scale money printing really is the last throw of the dice, but it simply is not working.

Particular problems in part of the EZ too, no wonder ZH describes it as faux austerity ...

Large EU economies to breach deficit limits as economic outlook worsens
Three of the eurozone's five largest economies will bust through EU-mandated deficit limits this year as the bloc's recession continues to deepen, according to highly anticipated European Commission forecasts published on Friday. In addition to the anticipated breaches by France, Spain and the Netherlands, the currency union's third-largest economy, Italy, will come within a hair's breadth of missing the limit of 3 per cent of economic output, with a 2013 deficit forecasted at 2.9 per cent. The across-the-board misses come as the eurozone's economic picture continues to darken. Gross domestic product in the bloc is now expected to drop 0.4 per cent this year, down from a 0.3 per cent projection just six months ago.

I think there was a particular problem with parts of the council in Lincs. about the approval of a new mega waste incinerator. Council went against public opinion.

Unfortunately since most of our laws, and rules now come from the EUSSR there is only one thing any party can do to change the UK. That one thing is to get out of the EU and bring back control to the UK. The only party offering to do this is UKIP. The rest have just lied to everyone and signed treaties without any vote.

I bet you will not find anyone out there who can say yes they voted for the EU as it is today. You will however find millions who can say yes they voted for x because they promised a referendum on any changes or to come out of the EU. Labour promised it and then signed our sovereignty away with the Lisbon Treaty. Tories promised it and failed to deliver.

Ukip success in Lincolnshire saw the party's Richard Fairman unseat Eddy Poll, the Tory deputy leader in Spalding. Kelly Smith, the executive member for finance, and Graham Marsh, who ran adult services, also lost, according to BBC Lincolnshire.

back to rbs.
investors still do not trust these bank results.
taken on face value as a true and fair record today, these shares are dirt cheap.
but the scars remain from the debacle of 2008-2009.

ps index trackers love high dividends.
they can match the index and pocket the divi.
no divi and a higher index leaves them little scope for fiddling.
