undervaluedassets, I think we could see 50p/ROL again in the medium term, but it will need a big acquisition / sizeable reduction in net debt to break out of the 50-60p range ROL shares have been stuck in since late 2016.

Way to go on these.. (This is the same logic and same post (almost) as I posted on the GOG thread) In the rally that started 26/04/20, ROL went to 39p before running into uncertainty. Back then prospects for a vaccine looked remote, and so, as we came into autumn the price retreated back to 18p Now we have a vaccine it, therefore, seems logical ROL should reach (and exceed) the summer high of 39p.

netcurtains, Good luck to you too! I have a very diversified portfolio too, including Rotala & Stagecoach holdings within the transport sector. Both have the potential to appreciate significantly in value from current levels & will return to being income plays once the Government support is lifted & they return to operating fully commercially.

winston270: Good luck to you! Sounds good! I have a very mixed portfolio - I'm not getting rich but I'm keeping my head above water just. I'm 25 in the investor list tonight - alas I'm still in division two! (colour wise): Http://www.stockchallenge.co.uk/

netcurtains, Thanks for your advice, but I really don't need it, I'm more than happy with my investment decisions & source of information. I'm getting rich just fine from Bitcoin i.e. "INVESTING FOR THE FUTURE"

winston270: RULE THREE of INVESTOR CLUB: Get basics right like peoples names: "netcurtains" I'm not a curate although investing is part of religion. As the book of Eclesiastes states: "If you want to get rich invest in foreign trade and have a diverse portfolio " Https://www.bible.com/bible/296/ECC.11.1-2.GNB You should take more note of these things.

netcuratains, I don't need to read company websites / press releases, my information comes straight from the horses mouth... ps you spell 'RULE ONE' like so. Yes, Hallmark Coaches, the fleet that's been shrinking long before Covid.

winston270: I Am aware.... I'd go further: RULE TWO OF INVESTOR CLUB: "read company websites and press releases properly".. Re pulling out of one depot in Heathrow they go on to say: "In the longer term, the board believes that the pre-existing drivers of change in the bus industry will have been further strengthened by the impact of Covid-19. Therefore, we continue to believe that opportunities for growth, both organic and by acquisition, will arise once the crisis has passed. The phrase "in the longer term"... relates to REUL ONE OF INVESTOR CLUB: "INVEST FOR THE FUTURE" Cheers Net (if you want any more of the rules please let me know) ps another web site to read (a subsidiary of rotala) Http://www.hallmarkcoaches.com/

netcurtains, You might not be aware that Heathrow represents only a small proportion of Rotala's business & they've very recently downsized from two depots down to one, not really a move which suggests there is much optimism for growth in the area in the future. Airport's is not an area where they're actively looking to expand. Rotala's shareprice has recently gone up due to Director buying & most recently being tipped in Investors Chronical + vaccine news / sentiment. Your optimism / comments around Airport traffic will be more related to National Express Group, their coach network serves all the major airports and includes Airport car park shuttles etc. Those routes are NX's most profitable corridors leedslad001, I'm not filling my boots on Rotala shares as typically their price has been range bound over the years, but when the Mkp Cap fell to circa £10 million (20p /share) I have bought in (which mirrors directors buys) & will add on weakness, I've also been buying Stagecoach near it's lows too.

Winston270: You might not be aware but share price RISES relate not to what is happening NOW but what investors think WILL HAPPEN in the next 12 months. You invest for the FUTURE not for the PRESENT. The future is rosey for buses that go to airports, and to work places and more or less everywhere. The present explain why the share price fell a few months back - the rise now is because people are buying for what will happen in the spring. Its RULE ONE OF SHARE CLUB: "INVEST FOR THE FUTURE"

Thanks leedslad001, I'm fully aware of Rotala businesses & fleet make-up, I speak regularly to senior group management & help maintain the group fleetlist. Fyi - Rotala now only operate 8 full size coaches around Heathrow, from a group fleet of circa 700 (predominantly made up of buses).

netcurtains, Think you're barking up the wrong tree with this comment in relation to Rotala: 'Brexit Deal? Vaccine? This should lead to more people taking buses to airports and bigger profits for ROTALA ... There is MASSIVE PENT UP DEMAND for holidays..... And the coach to the airport is a must for many people' Rotala only operate a small coach fleet now (more have been returned off lease over the past month or so from their Heathrow depot), the only benefit of increased airport activity to Rotala, will be via their Hotel Hoppa transfer business which is currently only operating a skeleton service (that only employs circa 30 buses).
