12/4/2018 10:20 | yamba thanks for the First group news. missed that Bus companies and travel appear to have good steady profits and cashflow so PE see that as a good business to buy midlands area is growing fast steady as she goes here | ntv
12/4/2018 09:11 | Haven't owned these for years but bought a few today as I like the thoughtful strategy and yield. Interesting to see a bid for First Group by PE. ROL still too small I guess but there may be a time when it is a target and some of the longstanding shareholders might be tempted to cash in. Meanwhile 4.7% yield so tucked away in ISA. Damning with faint praise but seems a perfectly steady thing to own a few of. | yamba
12/4/2018 08:52 | Happy with the results and at least with no surprises growth is slow really needs a year of consolidation to see what effect it will have on the balance sheet but that is not going to happen i can't really see where the £900k spent on the ticket system has made its return but maybe there are other benefits to come as youngsters with phones and cards only and some sort of prepay use the buses more in time to come yield is good so it is probably worth topping up below 50p for a %5 yield and reasonably safe yield BWTFDIK | ntv

12/1/2018 14:46 | There is a broker note released today which seems to have spurred some action. It is only on a p/e of 9 and yield of nearly 5% so a good one to tuck away as people do not stop jumping on buses as times get harder ! | davidosh
17/10/2017 19:40 | Thankfully these have sprung back to life the last few days 👍 | battlebus2

07/4/2017 15:53 | Very encouraging final results today. Decent yield so a nice one for income seekers to tuck away in an ISA. | jurgenklopp
03/12/2016 06:16 | passing through Birmingham city centre a few days ago then there seemed a lot fewer Diamond busses around than there used to be. The problem all the 'smaller' independent bus operators have in Birmingham ( and West Mids ) is they are competing against a very large primary operator - National Express West Midlands - who seem very efficient and well organised - plus are investing in new busses on a regular basis. And in most instances the fare structures and frequent NXWM services for regular travellers (day. week, month passes etc) means there is not much incentive for passengers to pay extra for the travel passes that cover the independents along with NXWM. Just my 2p's worth .... I'm not a great fan of NXWM but they do seem entrenched as the primary operator in West Mids with no single suitable competitor. mis the size | cougar99
28/11/2016 16:28 | Not all running smoothly though .... DIAMOND Buses is to be probed at public inquiry on Wednesday, November 30. The Rotala owned bus company is currently under investigation for its punctuality, reliability and the maintenance of its vehicles in Worcestershire, Warwickshire and the West Midlands. hxxp://www.dudleynew | cougar99
