27/6/2023 08:40 | Let's give them something to discuss then, and let's see reaction/comments "Economics and an undisputable history" Our American friend can aid here. Central banks are attempting disinflation , not deflation . Prices will never fall . It is an attempt to slow down increasing prices. The squeeze is for years .... But in history, to achieve disinflation ? To drop inflation 2%, unemployment rate had to go up 3.6% Now if the BoE are to achieve a 2% inflation rate , do the maths. Unemployment in this country would have to hit something like 12% ... Either high inflation is here to stay , or gov are planning a cull of the 99% , economically Ref: What affect has that on RR, for institutional outlook? (Anyone elses is irrelevant) Once there we can do RR in full | institutional investments | |
