data1, seriously you need to go back to school, don’t invest, if you can understand the basic principles of investing in equities.

Long term hold for me, with opportunities to top up along the recovery path.Ignore the short term noise.

monte1 the civility of the board has evaporated mostly, initially it was interesting with useful info shared, some intelligent speculation particularly with regard to the arbitrage scenario which existed pre ex-RI.

Its a waste of time now.

Rolls Royce is I'm sure a great company and I am sure I would love to own some of it but not quite yet or at this price - and there is profit to be made from selling the rights and buying at 32p, FOMO and the reluctance to take a loss on the original shares operates on the mind though

Investment bank Jefferies earlier this year noted: ‘We don’t envisage airlines placing large orders for new aircraft before 2024 or Airbus and Boeing launching new aircraft programmes before the end of 2025.’

data1....this does not compute, it does not compute.....Investing for Dummies said we have to go to the placing price.....why doesn't this compute.

5 minutes later....

"hiya, is that CMC?......I'd like to close my 50p per point short on RR. please"

"of course sir, can I have your username please"

"yes, it's GordonGekko69"
