Wondering how extreme cost saving measures have to be to still be operationally profitable at $18 Oil?

Blanket ban on all paper clip purchases?

Pretty remarkable that RRE is still down ~60% from where it was before the Corona-crash began vs. ~35% 'only' for majors like Shell and Total. While RRE may have on average higher production costs per barrel than Shell or Total it has a huge amount of cash on its balance sheet, whose value is unaffected. The overall asset mix of RRE is much less risky than that of Shell or Total. If anything, RRE stock should be outperforming oil majors, not massively underperform.

I swore to never take a position in oil-companies and I looked at RRE before (about half a year ago) and like any other oil company I ever looked at I didn't like it enough to invest. A week ago I actually took a position in RRE though. As much as I hate investing in oil, these shares are just way too cheap. Too good an opportunity.

Also benefitting from the 20% rise in natural gas prices over the last 3 days, instigated by the Qatar project delay. In addition to cash position 2x market cap, no debt, confirmed 25p dividend, and oil production costs of only $18/barrel.Massively undervalued down here.HTTPS://twitter.com/sonicshares/status/1247573429886365699?s=21

I sold today, not because I don’t think it’s not undervalued, I believe it is massively undervalued but because I think the present rise is just a bear rally and I will be able to buy it back lower.
Wish everyone luck if my hypothesis doesn’t work then I’ll look a proper plonker but wish all holders well as it’s a quality company.

For now positive sentiment moving this along nicely, but if no OPEC deal tomorrow then forget your charts, this will crash and visit previous lows, just like Pmo, tlw and others, as Brent and WTi retreat again.
