07/8/2008 14:39 | Hi arja, good to see you here, I do know that in UK companies making approaches to other like ROC to Anzon, tend to struggle with their share price till the event happens and then either it takes off when the deed is done or until the next results provided the Company that wins says something like, "...assets of the two companies and staff are fitting together nicely....." so unless something really big happens meantime that should be the turnaround, unless oil spikes of course. I said I would not add, and probably shouldn't while continuing down but I am amazed at this. | poo bear
07/8/2008 07:57 | seems to be heading for about a dollar level in OZ which it last hit in 2003 ! Needs some positive news to stop this gradual drift down . One to watch for a turnaround in time ! | arja
07/8/2008 07:22 | cheers Poo Bear May give it a week or two it is getting hammered in oz. The Mauritania thing is another storm in a tea cup IMHO they are too reliant on international hand outs to mess it up, The oil is sold to China so they won`t be to bothered who is in charge. My own conspiracy is that America got spooked by the drift towards fundamentalism they do have some bases in the country. Regards | dr square
07/8/2008 07:13 | Good morning Square. It is tempting to add however I can't see it turning around yet, the computer says "No" Okay yes I understand yet another coup in Mauritainia probably has not helped here and maybe I should have seen it coming but didn't. | poo bear
07/8/2008 07:05 | Morning Poo Bear Hope you are well. Tempted to add again at this level??? Very surprised at the price. Not at the Mauritania thing by the way bid highlight it a few weeks ago on SEY thread. Regards | dr square
07/8/2008 06:59 | That has done thios no good at all overnight, down a bit more. | poo bear

04/8/2008 12:21 | There was this one issued last week: Roc Oil said it found no hydrocarbons at the Sesamo well and it has been abandoned as a dry hole. | fireplace22
04/8/2008 12:16 | expected to see a p&a rns for somewhere. NOTE TO SELF - WHEN THE DIRECTORS ALL SELL - YOU TO TOO | drago
04/8/2008 06:48 | Why is ROC such a poorly performing company for? Is there record will the drill bit really bad? | nickcduk
04/8/2008 06:32 | Currently down 4%. | poo bear
26/7/2008 11:49 | Thanks Poo Bear, I know just what you mean about John Doran caring. Thats why it matters to us all. Have a great weekend. Fredling | fredling
25/7/2008 23:24 | Hi Fredling, great words. I already have, raised a fair few glasses plus shed a tear, all for someone I never met but I know he was one of the best. He cared. Not many CEO's really do, do they. | poo bear
25/7/2008 20:55 | I think the saddest thing about this is that a very decent company seems to have been hammered because of the death of what was by all accounts a very decent bloke. Fredling We'll raise a glass to you Mr D when ROC's true value is finally recognised. | fredling
24/7/2008 20:04 | BTW don't take anything I say as rec to buy, I don't know what I am doing. | poo bear
24/7/2008 17:07 | Hi Wrighty, I am bottom feeding. This share price is madness, yes I know the share price is probably depressed becuase of its approach to Anzon, but I am sure that and more is now priced in. That's my reasoning plus all other known factors prior to the t/o appraoch. I am also hoping that their little dabble in most licenses offshore wilk get a boost post Chinguetti makeovers. If something don't give soon I can also see them being gobbled up. Good luck to us. | poo bear
24/7/2008 16:28 | Poo, if your in I suppose I had better get a few, been a long while since a post has appeared here. | wrightey
24/7/2008 15:19 | SP now back to 2003 levels. That will do for me with a week to go to the next quarterlies. I'm back in with just a few. | poo bear
14/7/2008 17:00 | Thanks Poo Bear for clarity Been flat out with the new job so hav`nt had as much time so again thanks for tidying up my shoddy post, Bought a few today as this is simply stupid, most of thier production is in safe havens they have fields that are awaiting development, and hidden assets. Matter of time or a take out. So of to Turkey for me for a bit of RnR see you all later. Regards | dr square
11/7/2008 23:30 | Yes but at the price Petronas got into it for, what have they to loose? One year good, that's great! One year bad, oh well! In other words, the words are easily said but lets see some proving up. I hope the drilling is successful, it should be now as it is being backed up with all sorts of seismic.........2d, 3d 4d, all we need in another dimension and we will be well away But is the oil there and extractable without complications? As usual, time will tell. Meantime the Oz stock market continue to knock ROC down using any excuse, post JD. | poo bear
11/7/2008 09:10 | Cheers poo bear, thanks for that. Must confess I had more or less consigned Mauri to the "dead man walking" file. Great to see there may be unexpected life in the old dog yet! Major campaign in 2009 sounds good. | cwa1
07/7/2008 23:30 | Hi CWA! "Mauritania Chinguetti has't performed and not many drilled Tullow thinks Miocene play at expense of Cretaceous billion barrel potential in Mauritania ........." It seems things may well be about to get interesting offshore Mauritania after all. | poo bear
07/7/2008 10:06 | Ooops. I've been dozing at the back of the class. What is it that Tullow have said about Mauri Dr Square(or anyone else for that matter!)? Is it Banda you are referring to? | cwa1
07/7/2008 09:44 | See Anzon's RNS today for news update. | wrightey |
