Email Sam and ask the question am not obliged to copy anything from his reply matey Imho Sea Lion ticks all the boxes but let's say if Harbour did decide to pullout what's to say that Rockhopper and Navatis go it alone on a smaller project to lower the costs of the project.

Linda Cook also stated they must be the main operator of any project which counts ZAMA in Brazil out so I think that indicates it will be sold off I think the indicators are very good to support the Sea Lion project.

Right so I heard the Linda Cook webcast again, with a positive mindset.
1. She does need a production base in Latin America.(ie Harbour Energy will take a definite view on Argentina/FI)
2. She needs operator control. (Even at 40% 30% 30%, they do operate.)
3. She needs a conventional offshore resource. (Can't deny Sea Lion is fully appraised bog standard.)

Yes, Sea Lion will compete with Zama, Brazil et al, on these parameters, at various oil prices. (At the highest oil prices, Sea Lion + Isobel are way more juicier than Zama, Brazil, North Sea etc)
At $60-$69 oil price, the Majors sell and Harbour buys.
At $70+ oil price, do Majors still sell acreage, or do they develop?

So.. Pray to your maker that there's an oil mania, panic, boom.

HARBOUR ENERGY CANNOT IGNORE SEA LION ONLY WHEN THERE IS SIMPLY NO OTHER DECENT ACREAGE AVAILABLE TO BUY ANYWHERE AT THE PREVAILING OIL PRICE. i.e. WHEN EVERYBODY ELSE IS DEVELOPING THEIR OWN OFFSHORE PORTFOLIO ASSETS.

FIG must solve for "x"
$62+ Brent P&L * UK Tax treatment = $50 Brent P&L * x (x= FIG tax treatment)

I wonder what FIG are thinking about here?

If the new Harbour Energy don't want to invest then will FIG even want to extend the licences?

Linda Cook Bought North Sea at $62+ area Brent
Majors Sold North Sea at $62+ area Brent
$60+ Brent = Price for INORGANIC ACQUISITION CAPITAL

I have to agree CC. Linda did say something along the lines of "I won't talk about specific opportunities but I will tell you our criteria in assessing them".

Top of her list was financial return (positive!?) but she did indeed say that investments with your 5 points would probably 'not make the cut'.

And she was only talking about a few investments and the others didn't have those 5 points did they?
