12/11/2010 13:48 | RGM could well do a RRR but look at fast. | bigdog5
12/11/2010 12:31 | B.D, well done with rrr, wish i`d joined that party at 2.5p :-( | offerman
12/11/2010 11:46 | LGW thanks for that. GKP are frustrating me currently with all the political messing around. The share should be £3.50/£4 now on what we know. RRR looks to be one of my better judgements along with XEL. Oil, Gold, Uranium appear to me the places to be. There's so many undervalued companies out there at the moment. RGM looks to have a lot going for it bearing in mind their links with RRR. | bigdog5
12/11/2010 10:47 | Dear Minesite.com member, We told you gold would hit $1400. It did so on Monday. Now we tell you that gold will hit $2000 during 2011 According to Robert Zoellick, president of the World Bank: 'the soaring price of gold reflects the international unease about the strength of large developed economies'. He stated that 'Gold is now being viewed as an alternative monetary asset. It has become a reference point because holders of money see weak or uncertain growth prospects in all currencies. Gold is appealing to people who ask where should I put my money. It is a hedge against uncertainty'. The price of Gold hit another record high yesterday, as investors worried about the state of the European economies and inflation. All major economies are printing money at record rates. Gold is the ONLY currency not being thus devalued. The price has now risen by about 7% since the US central bank announced last week its plan to inject $600bn (£372bn) into the American economy. Gold mining companies are an operationally geared play on the gold price. And so if - as we expect - gold gains at least another 50% during the next 12 months gold stocks will rise by a multiple of that. | lgw
12/11/2010 10:37 | Bigdog I appreciate your well reasoned posts. Peter I will put OTC on my monitor and check it out thanks. At the moment I have mostly GKP and RRR but am currently building a substantial holding in BZT. I started buying at 26p and got another 27k shares today at just under 36p. This is a copper/gold play imo massively undervalued and under the radar probably worth nearer £3+. They are finishing off (any day now)a scoping study which will show the commercial way forward for the company. The directors have also stated that the selling off of assets is an option. All the worlds governments are racing to devalue their currencies against each other leading to the escalating value of gold. There is an opinion that copper supplies will be scarce in 2011 and prices will inflate by 37%. I will look for the article and post below. In the meantime here is the recent Edison report (Sept 2010) they were on the ball with RRR so hopefully also with BZT. GL all | lgw
11/11/2010 18:22 | Hi B.D, feel free to post them here as everyone is and thats what this thread is for, helping fellow rifters, and boy do i need help. one tip i have, don`t listen to any tips i have as i couldn`t tip a winning horse with just 1 horse racing.!! maybe my luck might change one day, so here`s hoping. | offerman
11/11/2010 18:09 | LGW, Edison have put some real fancy valuations on many stocks imo however i did get in RRR in the 6's and 8's cos i liked what i read. I'm an oilman but Gold and Uranium stand out imo bearing in mind what many countries are doing to look after their power supplies. China i believe have aqround 10 new Nuclear plants all lined up. They dont run on chip fat. And if anyone doesn't understand about Gold and its relation to economies and the world in general then they ought to read up on it fast. A well known "sage" has stated that Gold is in a bull run and will be for some time and is not in a bubble. He predicted the Recession years ago, his points were proved up and thats good enough for moi. I also followed up with a purchase of RGM on a tip which imo looked to have credibility. There are so many oppos out there at the moment that i have identified or that have been tipped by posters that are worth the research its obscene. If that comes across as arrogant then one, you dont know me and two i'll stop posting here. | bigdog5
11/11/2010 16:51 | Offerman - Gold and silver are the place to be at present. I have been in Red Rock since April this year - bought at 2.25p. Took some profits at 9p yesterday. But still hold a fair amount and it's our [wife & I] second largest holding after Medusa Mining which we've held since April 2009. Also in AGQ, VGM, OMI, and OTC. Ortac Resources [OTC], is a very good growth possibility and still offers a chance for a new shareholder to make a profit. Dave Paxton [the VGM CEO] has an excellent reputation and has just joined the Ortac board. Some people may be doubtful as the company, previously called Templar, was one of David Lenigas' string of companies. DL has now "left the building" and the company was re-named and now has new management headed by Vassilios Carellas [ex Kryso MD]. Dave Paxton is going great guns with VGM. I expect that he and Vassilios will make a pretty good team. Check it out! See www.ortacresources.c All the above is in my opinion and do your own research, and all that jazz!!! See you on the Ortac Resources (OTC) thread?? Peter | p3dr036
11/11/2010 15:28 | LGW< you were 100% spot on, well done, another failure on my part. | offerman
11/11/2010 14:51 | Did anybody get into RRR? was 2.5p and now today 10p! LGW - 22 Sep'10 - 14:54 - 15593 of 15720 whooa RRR could multibag fairly rapidly, read this report asap Redrock at 2.5p and this report values it at 20-61p LGW - 22 Sep'10 - 16:28 - 15594 of 15720 . Bigdog5 - 23 Sep'10 - 15:53 - 15595 of 15720 LGW, i dont look at miners as a norm so what is it about RRR that can warrent that sort of upside ? offerman - 23 Sep'10 - 16:14 - 15596 of 15720 2nd The dogs question. On Target - 23 Sep'10 - 16:20 - 15597 of 15720 Read this and find out: LGW - 23 Sep'10 - 16:30 - 15598 of 15720 well that Edison guy is a well respected analyst and I am told rather conservative. Read the report and dyor it seems good to me. I am in for 295k.shares Edit... just looked and I have 495k shares | lgw
02/11/2010 17:36 | yes yanzui, I hold about 2.4 mn of them. I was concerned about a year ago about a lack of funding and progress on ramping up production, but it's amazing what a bit of gold price inflation can do! If the pog were now sub-$1000, VGM would not be sitting so pretty. I once held shares in Thistle mining, an equally leveraged play to the pog. Unfortunately, it didn't make it into the high gold price era and its followers lost everything. Holdontight, the share's prime proponent, was never heard of again. But we all live and learn.... Incidentally, I had been an investor in VGM when they were known as River Diamonds! | tim00
02/11/2010 14:41 | GKP yeeehaaa | lgw
01/11/2010 22:40 | tim00 Good to see you got wise re: VGM. Looking better every day. | yanzui
