11/9/2017 22:16 | just to add that they are concentrating on sapphires now. Which seems wise in current climate. Again Australia is a far more friendly in political terms. | hazl

11/9/2017 13:40 | As I do more research on my latest acquisition RLD I am amazed to find that it was subject to a failed take-over attempt by Gemfields, owner of Faberge and a share I used to own! It certainly has a chequered history it was at 45p then! The offer price. | hazl
11/9/2017 12:00 | Guess who created this museum! RLD cuts and polishes its stones, appoints its own sight holders. It has created a unique retail/tourist offering in Tanzania according to wex boy in the past....when it was considerably higher. These things might be on the turn now as the industry improves,in my opinion. 'We may discover some day that Richland is a luxury goods stock hiding within a junior miner.' wex research | hazl
11/9/2017 11:38 | 'Tanzanite is a trichoic stone that reflects different colors, ranging from light blues or lilacs to deep indigos and violets. It was discovered in the 1960s and named after Tanzania by Tiffany & Co. The famous jewelry firm declared it to be the most beautiful stone discovered in the last 2,000 years. Tanzanite is so rare because it is found and mined in a small area only four kilometers wide and two kilometers long at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro in the Manyara Region of Northern Tanzania. According to a Tanzanian geologist, the circumstances that led to its formation 585 million years ago were so exceptional that the likelihood of finding tanzanite anywhere else on earth is one in a million, making it a thousand times rarer than diamonds. At the current rate of mining, the geologist also estimates that the available supply will be depleted within the next 25 years. As a result, tanzanite is known as the “gemstone of a generation” because this generation will be the last one able to buy stones from the primary market before the supply is exhausted.' but relevant still Tanzanite as well as Sapphires, Richland has been referred to as the mini De Beers of the Tanzanite industry. | hazl

11/9/2017 09:31 | I have got into a few gem plays over the last week or so and this is one of them. I think things are looking up for the industry as a whole, as people seek ways to store their wealth and look to the 'real' thing instead of the lab variety! Recent RNS 'During Q2 2017, as well as achieving our ramp-up target of 1.2 million carats per quarter, our Q2 revenue covered over 95% of our Q2 Production and Operating costs for the Capricorn Sapphire project as we implemented the final ramp-up stage. "I would particularly like to draw shareholders' attention to the quarterly production and sales breakdown. Operational ramp-up and sales initiatives have combined to enable us to mine both more efficiently and achieve higher revenue for our product as we seek to develop our brand. The quarterly comparisons within the period serve to demonstrate that we can maximise margins from a steady run of mine rate at Capricorn Sapphire. "Richland remains firmly on schedule to achieve operational profitability from July 2017 onwards at its Australian Sapphire operations, as previously guided." ' | hazl
