Again Australia is a far more friendly in political terms.

As I do more research on my latest acquisition RLD
I am amazed to find that it was subject to a failed take-over attempt by Gemfields,owner of Faberge and a share I used to own!

It certainly has a chequered history it was at 45p then!

Guess who created this museum!

RLD cuts and polishes its stones, appoints its own sight holders. It has created a unique retail/tourist offering in Tanzania according to wex boy in the past....when it was considerably higher.
These things might be on the turn now as the industry improves,in my opinion.

'Tanzanite is a trichoic stone that reflects different colors, ranging from light blues or lilacs to deep indigos and violets. It was discovered in the 1960s and named after Tanzania by Tiffany & Co. The famous jewelry firm declared it to be the most beautiful stone discovered in the last 2,000 years. Tanzanite is so rare because it is found and mined in a small area only four kilometers wide and two kilometers long at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro in the Manyara Region of Northern Tanzania. According to a Tanzanian geologist, the circumstances that led to its formation 585 million years ago were so exceptional that the likelihood of finding tanzanite anywhere else on earth is one in a million, making it a thousand times rarer than diamonds. At the current rate of mining, the geologist also estimates that the available supply will be depleted within the next 25 years. As a result, tanzanite is known as the “gemstone of a generation” because this generation will be the last one able to buy stones from the primary market before the supply is exhausted.'

'Exclusivity and Supply Agreement' BACK IN JUNE

In addition to appointing Royal Touch as a Sightholder, the Company has also entered into an Exclusivity and Supply agreement with it in respect of its fully heated green sapphires. Under the terms of the agreement, Capricorn Sapphire are now supplying Royal Touch with all of the Company's heated green sapphires on an exclusive basis for the majority of the size fractions. The sapphires are heated at Capricorn's beneficiation facility in Thailand. As part of the agreement, the company is also guaranteeing Royal Touch a minimum monthly supply of heated green sapphires to enable Royal Touch to commit to the marketing and market development of such unique and exceptional coloured sapphires.

I have got into a few gem plays over the last week or so and this is one of them.
I think things are looking up for the industry as a whole, as people seek ways to store their wealth and look to the 'real' thing instead of the lab variety!
