marketanalyst1: Decent volumes being reflected here today with larger-sized trades pointing to ‘long money’; still well under the recent placing price of 0.10p. And if head honcho Tony Brooke, and Chairman Ed Nealon, can pull off a similar feat as what was witnessed at Aquarius Platinum, those investors in at these levels will be generously rewarded for their patience. More importantly, a gold or paladium-related RTO will, nevertheless, ensure the doors are blown off the current share price. I'm also reminded that, this isn’t a jobs-for-the-boys, cash shell. The BOD, who are notable stakeholders in their own right, genuinely want to deliver a meaningful conclusion to the Richland story. ATB to all invested.
hazl: this might well have helped their sales already this year
steve36: The irony is that the uncertainty has caused the share price to fall by more than 50%
zaksab: Mixed news today. Good that the directors want stock and are happy to convert at material premium to the current share price but bad that they are issuing still very cheap equity. A conclusive break of 10p would be probably be a good sign of things to come.
monis: Richland moves beyond Tanzanite By Mark Robinson, 26 September 2011 Half-year results from Richland Resources, which changed its name from Tanzanite One in August, demonstrated that the group's restructuring efforts are delivering benefits. As part of that restructuring, Richland is expanding the range of gemstones that it mines to include Australian sapphires - but sales right now are still predicated on the market for tanzanite, a blue-purple gemstone found in the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro. The tanzanite market benefited from a general price upsurge for coloured gemstones in the period, which also helped drive retail sales at the company's Tanzanite Experience visitor centre in Tanzania by around a fifth. On a comparable basis, Richland boosted its processed tonnage by 10 per cent which, in turn, yielded 1.25m carats - that's up 19 per cent on the first half of 2010. The company also increased its recovery rate by 9 per cent to 60 carats per tonne, while keeping unit costs in check, despite struggling with fast-rising raw material prices. This positive combination allowed Richland to turn in a 35 per cent increase in gross profits in the year to end-June to $7.59m (£4.9m). Future growth could be facilitated through a proposed expansion into the Indian market, too. Indeed, broker XCAP Securities calculates the group's net present value at $92m, which represents 50p a share - well above the current share price. Patience might be needed, but the shares are a long-term buy. Last IC View: Buy, 10p, 28 September 2010 visible-status-Standard story-url-RichlandResources_Results_260911.xml
steve36: I admire your optimism as the share price moves from 8p to 9p! binladin - 7 Oct'11 - 09:19 - 79 of 79 50p target getting closer.......difficult to buy......anything......
zaksab: dont push the Chinese will buy it arguement. that is grossly overused and , in conjunction with this company, most definately improbable. also dont like the - issue equity means the share price goes up because of liquidity arguement .
