19/1/2018 20:26 | Indeed some very accurate predictions on industry trends there Sikh, whether one holds bullish or bearish views, this thread is simply essential reading for all 1R investors. Unfortunately posting challenging views about a stock on a bulletin board is almost like going into someone's house and criticising their children - and it is about as well received. You can expect no thanks for it, no matter how valid and justified the arguments raised against investment, we all fall emotionally in love with our stock picks, how strange is that. But I think we have given people good valid reasons to be careful and not to believe the hype. This remains a 'show me the money' stock. | gowlane

19/1/2018 15:03 | gl, as previously predicted and discussed on here, looks like there maybe a shift towards transparency in those previous hidden fees... Rubicon said ages ago that they were ditching the buy side fees, now Appnexus/Adobe are going to reveal what their fees are... 1R could use the opportunity to show they are ahead of the game...their court case with Dataxu might be an opportunity for them to prove they are transparent...but they did take out a 'Protective Order', so maybe no... sikhthetech - 03 Nov 2017 - 13:28:12 - 5764 of 6432 RHYTHMONE - new Name, new Beginning??? - RTHM Following their recent legal action with Guardian over hidden fees, Rubicon reduced their fees. Now they have removed them as part of their transparency drive.... Will others follow??? Rubicon Project will drop buy-side fees as part of its ongoing transparency drive "£We&Ac "Buy-side fees had formerly accounted for over half of Rubicon£ | sikhthetech
19/1/2018 13:15 | Looks like a brilliant move by AppNexus Sikh, giving the customers what they want. Don’t think our bozos will be joining them anytime soon though. Except that if we lose this court case with DataXu we might have to take drastic emergency action to restore confidence. Actually scratch that, if we lose the courtcase it is potentially game over, it will bring all those trust issues right back to the surface again. A good reason for going ahead and implementing this level of transparency now and being ahead of the pack. | gowlane
19/1/2018 11:10 | Industry challenges.... Challenges to Hidden fees... Looks like Adobe and Appnexus leading the way... "Adobe Advertising Cloud will reveal all fees taken by the DSP, including the platform fee and any add-ons, as well as AppNexus’ bill to the publisher, which will help marketers track media dollars through the supply chain." | sikhthetech

18/1/2018 14:38 | What the GDPR Will Mean for Your Bottom Line "All interactions that make individuals question why companies are engaging with them in certain ways will only increase the probability of a GDPR-based request for data erasure. What many businesses will come to realize is that in most cases, it will be their own actions that trigger such requests — requests that carry associated costs. Come May, the businesses that best rise to the challenge will be those that reframe the definition of relevance as it pertains to their customers and put in place new processes to ensure that that they curb potentially irrelevant interactions, including offers and the like. Indeed, in order to protect customer lifetime value in the GDPR era, the best action at any given moment may not be to present an offer, but to do nothing at all." | sikhthetech |
