16/1/2017 17:29 | beauty is in the eye of the beholder and we don't know what Perk will do for them but it certainly muddies the waters nicely for SBM, who promised full year profitability - and now he cannot be held to account for that but we can speculate what H2 might be without Perk on $88m H2 revenues, gp margins at 36% gives Gross profit of $31.7m, costs of $36.5, ebitda loss of -$4.8m, and probably a bottom line H2 loss of -$9m Even with Perk a $20m full year net loss coming up is my guess, 3rd year in a row of losses if that happens so will SBM separate out Perk results when reporting on FY17, my guess is that he will not, he is playing a blinder here, at least at putting the blindfolds on investors | gowlane

16/1/2017 17:01 | Smoke and mirrors and the obligatory as we enter the slowest quarter get out clause. When they actually start to achieve solid growth and profit they will be more upfront and honest. Of course the potential takeover could happen before we reach that point! Sold on the cheap, the BOD position assured, that will always be their top priority! | midasx

16/1/2017 16:23 | Can anyone enlighten me on 3i Big Bear states Sobeit says: "On my calculation, previous quarter revenues were about $30m and this last quarter it was $35m. That is good but not great" No Sobeit, on my calculation, previous quarter revenues were nearer $50 million, not $35 million. The $35 million you refer to is 'core programmatic revenues' only. Don't forget, we must also add in 'core direct revenues' (which don't go through our RhythmMax exchange) and, of course, 'non-core revenues'. At the last half-year results 'core programmatic revenues' ($55m) were shown as around 82% of total 'core revenues' of $67m. hxxp://investor.rhyt And now we have just been told, in this latest, TU that 'core revenues' are around 84% of total revenues for the quarter (i.e. after adding back in 'non-core revenues'). It's a guess of course, but I surmise that this percentage hasn't changed much since. So therefore, if my maths is correct, total revenues for the previous quarter were around $50 million. That's rather better than $35 million! Of course, I agree that the wording of this TU could have been improved to make this clearer. By the way, the greater percentage of O & O (owned and operated) websites in the 'controlled reach' going forward - especially post-Perk - should, in my view, augur well both for a recovery in fill rates, as well as for better pricing. However when I do the calculation I arrive at 41.66 million dollars, for the quarter just gone, from core. Where does the remaining 8.33 million come from? None core? At the half year non core was for the 6 months to 30 Sept 2016 as follows (unaudited) Revenue 80,729,000 for 6 months Non-Core 17% cf with 31 % for the prior 6 months i.e. 16.5 million for a half yr and 8.2 million a quarter yr. They are accelerating non core drawdown so I suspect 17% will be lower now. If halved as per the previous 6 months (albeit we are only 3 months in) that equates to 8.5% that would equate to $4.1 million. In total $45.76 Qtr or $47.81 million max. I haven't posted on 3i as I cant be bothered to go though their vetting process before I can post. If I am wrong can someone point out where. I freely admit to being no mathematician.
