Loaf, where do I say Telemetry use 1R...
It's industry news, isn't it? The company stopped trading as Telemetry, did it not...

why would I edit the post if it can be viewed in a positive way...that's plain daft, given I post industry news...

There's nothing stopping anyone posting bull/bear posts, so why didn't anyone post it???? instead of the constant posts trying to portray that I don't report both bull/bear posts... what's the agenda...

RhythmOne don't use Telemetry.

Verification fees are going down.

Actually 2 plus points for RhythmOne.

Probably edit his post as it can be viewed in a positive way?

Anti-fraud outfit Telemetry poised to close its doors as directors file for new company name

"took place in the immediate aftermath of the recent Methbot revelations." ...would be ironic if it is the case...

"Telemetry, an adtech outfit that specialized in detecting fraudulent traffic and was once tipped to be worth $486m plus a possible IPO, has ceased operations The Drum has learned – a development that took place in the immediate aftermath of the recent Methbot revelations."

Rushton has since issued the below statement in italics to The Drum:

"Fees for the verification of online media are on a constant downward spiral and it became impossible to make money whilst maintaining the quality of full audit services and the support teams required to operate at that level."

from the Rubicon link above

"The company's stock fell 35% in the second quarter when CEO Frank Addante told investors it had been slow in adopting a header bidding strategy. Header bidding is a technology that allows all of a publisher's partners to bid on ad inventory at the same time, which often translates to more money."

What about 1R?

Rubicon Project: Header bidding weakness

<...>
I remember BigBear (on the ii board) gave some feedback from his AGM conversation with Richard Nunn on Header Bidding and its relevance to R1 - from which I took the message that it was not particularly central to R1 at the time.

So I'm hoping Rubi's problems are specific to them and not anything to concern R1, although Rubi appear to indicate a desire to become more competitive on price in order to win back desktop business which might have some impact. But certainly Rubi's description of softness in the advertising market doesn't seem to gel with R1's comments on exceeding management expectations in calendar 3Q.

Rubicon Project Exploring a Possible Sale

Ad-tech platform Rubicon Project is exploring its options to possibly sell the company.
The news comes nearly a month after it announced an $18 million cost-saving move to lay off 125 employees, or about 19% of its workforce. Regarding the potential sale, the company told Ad Age it does "not comment on inquiries of this kind."
The Wall Street Journal was first to report the news.
The company's stock fell 35% in the second quarter when CEO Frank Addante told investors it had been slow in adopting a header bidding strategy. Header bidding is a technology that allows all of a publisher's partners to bid on ad inventory at the same time, which often translates to more money.
"We established a dominant position in desktop display that was unthreatened," Mr. Addante previously told investors. "And we created a premium solution that was largely unthreatened. And like most companies that create a premium solution, that allows you the opportunity to raise prices over time. We did that."
Rubicon Project's stock jumped 12% following the news of a possible sale.
In its most recent earnings, the company posted GAAP revenue of $65.8 million, a 2% increase over the third quarter of 2015. Net income came in at $3.5 million, up 217% from the same quarter last year. The overall ad spending passing through Rubicon's systems declined 1% to $242.8 million.
News of ad-tech companies struggling has become almost commonplace over the last two years. Earlier this week, Rocket Fuel said it would lay off 93 employees in an effort to save some $20 million.

Hairdressers are expecting a very bullish TU?

stocky

They said they were EBITDA profitable for the last two months of the last reported quarter and given that the quarter just gone is traditionally the best, they in a way have to show a healthy profit and therefore also cash generation otherwise we have little chance of hitting their target of full year profitability.

We will see, if they miss this then there is no hope !!!!

Dear obsessives, please post their backstory here; what has brought you to your position on R1 and the cause of your behaviour on this thread. I am going to pitch the results as a mini series to Amazon with a single episode dedicated to each of you.You couldn't make it up.

Sorry my friend if you are offended - just trying to get people to give Footy a break....he is dealing with a fruitcake in Sikhthetech.

I dont get how some people get annoyed with the off piste stuff - just dont read it?

Why make it an issue every day - that irritates me if I was to be honest - but no big deal.

Dear Polythene - have a little sympathy here my friend, Footy has stood up against a mad man....sometimes you need to do this.

A good job some of your people took the same stance on April 1916 - do you give in to bullies or do you stand up?

They stood up and won - good for them...and that's coming from an Englishman!

Polythene - you are a good poster, sometimes I would like to see the heart I get from my many Irish friends.

Polythene its simple I lost it when STT would not stop spamming all the time 1R threads and then banning anyone who tried doing the same on he's thread. The sad thing is he doesn't realise he's lost it. Then again when you got more than one alias running on each thread it's probably hard to remember who you are and what your state of mind should be with your posts for each persona

Loopy - I have had private mail from Shroder, and whilst you would like to believe he had a, "dislike to the poster Barkboo" I dont believe this to be true.

Of course he would have to speak for himself, and we did not always agree - but I had a lot of respect for Shroder..unfortunately he was chased of his own thread....we all know the culprits!

He never gave me the impression he disliked me - whilst you always give me the impression of being a bellend!
