05/10/2016 11:59 | Hi 1gw, thanks for looking at my message. the figure 3.7 is a ratio that works on the actual figures revenue / (volume, fill rta eand CPM) of q3 and q4 2016. So I simply used the same formula on q1 2017, knowing as we were told, (volume, fill rate and CPM). By multiplying the multiplication of the 3 figure it gave me 15.08, then I used the 3.7 (x factor) to multiply the 15.08 and bingo $55. I am sure it is not so simple but I have been struggling to find a better shot at the revenue by using the data we have been give. Very happy to learn so I can improve teh modelling. | propercharlie

05/10/2016 10:00 | PC, a couple of months ago, you were forecasting fy2017 revenues of $192m... your forecast yesterday of $55m - is that for H1 revenue??? So you're forecasting H2 will shoot up to $137m.. That's a low H1 expectation followed by a high H2 expectation??? ProperCharlie - 04 Oct 2016 - 17:49:57 - 2136 of 2152 RhythmOne - 2016 a new beginning - RTHM I have used Big Bears work and Q1 TU to try and modul the Q1 revenue: you will see that the maths guide us to a $55m revenue, $5m better than BB safer forecast. I tested the calculation "blind" on q4 results and the figures came out as $31.85m rather than $31.7, so hopefully the logic flows through. If so the so called "real" profit BB refers will be increased by $5m to $8m for the quarter! I did not test this through all the P&l but relied on BB's calls. Lets see! | sikhthetech

05/10/2016 07:35 | ProperCharlie - great to see you about on here..your view is always appreciated by us all. Most of the harden investors have let the rags dominate the negative view, they have spun the same stuff so many times even John John is dizzy and washed out - will be nice to know all the good guys have had a smile to themselves behind the scenes. | barkboo

04/10/2016 19:46 | PC - as far as I can tell you're assuming in your analysis that the ratio of total revenue to revenue through the programmatic platform stays constant (the 3.70 number in your spreadsheet). I.e. in 2HFY16 $75.4m total revenue, $20.4m (=11.8+8.6) revenue through RMax, ratio = 75.4/20.4 = 3.70. Then in 1QFY17, $15.1m revenue through RMAx, multiply up by the 3.7 to get the $55m (or $56m) you quote. The problem with this is that RMax is where most of the growth is coming from ("led by strong growth in programmatic platform revenues"). Other areas, or at the very least the "non-core" revenues, were expected to decline. Non-core revenues in 2H16 at $22m were bigger than RMax revenues and your analysis seems to be suggesting that they should increase by the same ratio that RMax revenues are increasing, doesn't it? | 1gw
