29/10/2018 07:21 | Off topic, an interesting story in the Telegraph re tax avoidance schemes. The story is about the BT chief who subscribes to one of these ingenious schemes. Extract below..Members of the scheme backed film productions such as Avatar that lost money in their early stages and claimed 100pc tax relief against those losses. An arm of Ingenious Media topped up their investments with loans, which increased the value of relief they could claim without tying up more of their own cash.It is amazing that Avatar, one of the highest grossing movies in history can be claimed to be a loss. Shows what the clever and the crooked can get up to these days. | wheeze | |

25/10/2018 21:41 | Possibly when they got rid of Zango and Pinball and installed all these filters the CPMs went up. But more recently they have seemed to play around with fill rates and CPMs in their reports, when one indicator goes up the other comes right back down. Then you have those incredible volume figures. What it all means heaven alone knows. Perhaps the advertisers suspect that it is too easily manipulated, which may be why so many seem to be taking programmatic advertising in-house. | gowlane |
