18/10/2012 07:36 | broadwood - glad to hear it. I agree most companies release AGM statement at 7am but it's certainly not just RSW that try to align the RNS with the company statement. | cockerhoop
18/10/2012 07:12 | Must admit, I gave up on attending AGM's a good while ago.Apart from getting a look at the CE and directors, along with a biscuit and a cup of coffee.nothing much happens. They read from a prepared text which has already been released to the markets some hours earlier - in most cases. | broadwood
18/10/2012 06:49 | AGM at 12 noon in South Wales at new factory. Sadly unable to attend this time, first one that I have missed for several years, but my spy will attend and report back. red | redartbmud
18/10/2012 06:36 | Yes in the past it's been released as the AGM starts (approx 10.30-11.15). Hope you didn't get up especially broadwood :-) | cockerhoop
18/10/2012 06:17 | Keeping us in suspense until the start of the AGM? | broadwood
13/10/2012 18:42 | You won't have to wait long, AGM on Thurs 18th October with 1st Quarter IMS. | cockerhoop
13/10/2012 17:17 | Hopefully not RSW. Growth had slowed but prospects still seem good. Won't know more until their next results or trading statement. Anyone know when this will be? | jamielein
13/10/2012 11:30 | Industrials taking a bashing, XPP, Cookson, Morgan Crucible have issued profits warnings this week. Previously RNO, VLX and ECM have issued profits warnings. So who's next? | sleveen
05/10/2012 16:11 | CR you still in? This looks like it's getting steeper!! | nellie1973
20/9/2012 06:30 | chart has been firming lovely here tonwards the trading update in a few weeks. CR | cockneyrebel
14/9/2012 20:05 | happens sometimes deadly, bit illiquid. nice little set of steps up developing on that chart imo. CR | cockneyrebel
14/9/2012 18:51 | strange action today; up 60p most of the day on this explosive day, then down 33p at the end, yet XD next wednesday for 28p. Great for trading. | deadly
11/9/2012 21:17 | Just been rereading the finals. Hadn't realised how much new factory capacity is being created worldwide - much more than just Miskin. Shows extraordinary confidence (and, of course, vulnerability if they call the demand wrong). apad | apad
07/9/2012 07:10 | It's a valid view CR. I am still pencilling in a Grexit, but I am not a trader so look to balance my portfolio. For me it's more a case of when to reinvest dividends. Havering between increasing holdings in ELM or WEIR at the moment. Good luck, apad | apad
07/9/2012 06:54 | Might be just moving with the mkt but the mkt changes here imo - S&P has broken out - risk on is increasing imo. That means less chasing of divi stocks, more chasing of the fast moving cyclicals imo. CR | cockneyrebel
07/9/2012 06:27 | Just moving with the market CR? AGM on 18 Oct. might generate a little news perhaps, but I reckon it's new news that will drive the share price Interims 25 Jan. There must be holders who are in at £18. The 5 year graph against the FTSE is an interesting picture. Big CAPEX on the new factory will limit div. increase. I'm beginning to worry that the current 40 engineering vacancies is less of a measure of the company's expanding business and more a measure of the problem with finding engineers. I should've top sliced my holding, but I just couldn't do it. apad | apad
06/9/2012 19:42 | bough a few chunks today, breaking out above recent resistance here. CR | cockneyrebel

27/7/2012 15:32 | Full-year pre-tax profits rose 5 per cent to £86million and the final dividend was lifted 15 per cent to 28.2p per share which helps swell the coffers of founding chairman and chief executive Sir David McMurty who owns a controlling 36 per cent of the equity and deputy chairman David Deer who sits on 16.8 per cent. McMurty invented the company's first product, a touch-trigger probe to solve a specific inspection requirement for the Olympus engines used on Concorde. Speculation has been doing the rounds of late that 72 year-old McMurty, whose stake is now worth more than £361million, and Deer, also in his Seventies, could soon decide to sell up to a cash-rich private equity concern and enjoy a well-earned retirement Read more: | broadwood |
