Lets be honest The thing to remember is that If you do nothing then blindness will follow soon . So to be given a chance to halt and improve your sight is worth going for.
Every operation that you have carries a risk and most accept that because if they dont things will deteriorate.
I always remember my dear mum having a go at the doctor for telling her that the operation that she was needing had a 10% chance of failure.
She maintained that he should have told her It had a 90% chance of success.
If you think ANY of our therapies will work and get to market then this share is worth multiples of todays price .

26 April 2019

One subject + 20 letters (2 months).

02/10/2019

mean of 6 subjects +13 letters (2 months).

looks like it's not uniformed in its results? Potential large variance in results exist making the future for mass use in say the NHS look uncertain.
Little wonder the company were ventilating a pay model that gave the treatment and then the NHS paid on results.
When you see the drop off after 9 months and the high% blindness in the failed retina attachment, it does not look a great candidate for the NHS does it?

Like moi stated, 190p looks certain very short term; and then once that gives away it could be 120p-140p within a few weeks.

This story here is unfurling, and the highly inflated share price has not yet caught up with the uncertainty that the rns (spun in a way to avoid plain English) has delivered.

this is a false move. Woodford hasnt sold a share yet so i doubt he's in selling here. Simply, people took profit and broader market weakness compounded this. While those who bought +10% are selling in a hole. The surgical procedure vision loss needs clarity. The data is positive, while not blowout. I think shares recover to 250-300p into 12th octber

We should also remember that Its not all about this one product. Todays news is not as good as we hoped but It was still good news and before the market opened was welcomed by most of us who thought the price would rise today.
It did rise first thing but because of the wording of the rns was soon sold into.
So all the questions will be answered at the conferance and i would be shocked if todays good news is not still viewed as good news after we get the answers.

Only just seen your post. Yes, they said it was down to surgical failure but without detail we are left with comparing column one v column. Otherwise, it could be read as, these two failed and so we threw them out of the results. Kind of convenient.

Managed to buy at 218.5. Not totally unhappy.

Hi Small crow, yes but still a very unpleasant thing to happen to go "suddenly blind" rather than gradually and inexorably for what is a relatively large proportion of a small number.
I was really looking forward to the next (this )RNS now am somewhat shell-shocked.
Still I take your point. We now need informed opinion from the 2 Medics and their teams involved and RENE as a matter of urgency.

algernon, I'm not saying it's desirable, but weren't they losing vision inexorably anyway? So 20/22 chance of improvement even if surgery doesn't improve and these reults hold?

Problem is, is that unless there is a better way of doing it (administering) then for 2 people in this very small cohort(s) to lose their vision is bad.
There's absolutely no point having a great product unless we can administer it safely.
A full explanation really needs to be given by RENE sooner rather than later on the options available and the way forward for the method of delivery.
A genuinely bad day so far.
