18/10/2019 08:48 | Me, too, xow98. I didn't read the detail. Both the RNS at 15.21 and at 17.36 yesterday say "No trading in the stock-voting control interest over stock transferred." A pretty unusual RNS. Apologies to all for my previous speculation. So, the whole 33% is still overhanging RENE's share price, but now it is the hands of willing sellers who probably want to get it done asap, and have less incentive than Woodford to try hard to get it done at as high a price as possible. But they will get it done in the next couple of months. It doesn't make a difference to long term investors, but RENE's Board must be very frustrated. | dickbush
18/10/2019 08:02 | Like any holder (you?) has to 'dump' their shares | icejelly
18/10/2019 07:56 | Thanks. Thought that might be the case. So Link have still to dump the shares! Not over just yet. | waterloo01
18/10/2019 07:42 | Courtesy of PC01 on LSE: RE: Woodford Half OutThu 17:49 Yes I think I can. WEI (Equity income) is closing down. So those shares that were held in WEI have been transferred from WEI into the company that is doing the run-off aka Link Fund Solutions. The other 1/2 of the Woodford stake is held in Patient Capital (WPCT) which is looking for a new manager to replace Woodford himself but is not, at this moment, being wound down. So the 50% stake in Link Fund is very much alive and for sale. The 50% in WPCT is likely to remain there whilst a new fund manager is hired and who then decides what he wants to do with the stock. For colour I misread first time the RNS and also bought a small amount but would appear that not for the first time in my life, I was a tad premature! | xow98
17/10/2019 23:11 | In 6 months time , looking back, this opportunity to fill your boots, if missed, will be feel sickening.- Unless of course you do fill your boots, - it is a fire sale after all.... but the product is still the same. - interesting times? | deutsch4
17/10/2019 23:09 | Woodford's reputation is already toast. If the mandate is to get anything and everything sold asap, best prices will be a secondary consideration for Link. Yes/No? The 33% shareholding, which was long term until Woodford got into trouble, may well have been redistributed to investors with a whole range of motives for taking shares. While some may be long term, I imagine that some will be willing to take a quick turn in this market. Rather than taking off-absent news of a deal-we may, for a while, be seeing a lot of selling into any rise in the price. Not a worry for patient investors. | dickbush
17/10/2019 18:33 | Anyone know much about Link Fund? They seem to be taking ownership of large chunks of Woodfords holdings. Does this mean they still have to move the shares onward/dump into any rises? | waterloo01
17/10/2019 18:06 | My guess is no better than anyone else's but it would be that the Woodford's shares were crossed at the low on Tuesday, 110p. Like everyone else here, I'm keen to find out who the new holder/holders is/are. The administrator didn't (need to) wait long to get this done and, presumably, those same buyers must know that the next 16% will be on offer asap. Another deal at 110p? That suggests to me that some kind of line has been drawn under the share price...unless there is bad fundamental news down the road. I don't know if we are cleared for take-off but I'm content to think the short term downside risk is 110p. | dickbush
17/10/2019 16:21 | Link Fund Solutions also took WIM 20% holding in Mercia AM. | hashertu
17/10/2019 16:04 | Still on the Woodford story. Link Fund Solutions picked up the 19.8% WIM holding in Arix, probably on behalf of a third party. I imagine the remaining WIM stake in RENE will be sold as a block, in a similar manner to Arix and the RENE sale reported today. | hashertu
17/10/2019 15:51 | Agreed JBJ. But will they offload the rest? And who has picked up the stock? We await further news. | verger
17/10/2019 15:34 | Woodford's offloaded half his entire holding. Pretty significant. I'm having myself some more RENE action on the back of that. Once the rest is cleared, we are cleared for take-off | jensonbensonjohnson
17/10/2019 15:33 | "Woodford owns 33%" ... not any more he doesn't! That RNS shows he's offloaded half. Pretty significant. I'm having myself some more RENE action on the back of that. | jensonbensonjohnson
17/10/2019 12:08 | Hopefully we'll get some more US buying later. I see some small sellers are still offloading today to pay for their weekly shops. | investordave
16/10/2019 21:28 | DB - at the moment, I think the price is dominated by US dealing. | supernumerary
16/10/2019 19:51 | Yesterday, from about 11 a.m. until the close some 70,000 shares were sold and around 6,000 bought while the quote stayed at 122-130p. Today the shares stayed at 122-130p again with almost nothing but selling (89,000 v 6,000 bought)until 2pm. After 2pm the shares took off to close 135-145p with purchases three times sales (67,000 v 23,000). Was this just hoovering up sellers followed by a ramp the moment buying appeared or is some fundamental news coming? IMO the news of Woodford being fired was used to short RENE the day before the news became public-if not before then. However, Rene itself has been pretty much leak-proof in the past. News coming on Woodford's holding? | dickbush
16/10/2019 16:18 | Shearing time for sheep? | small crow
16/10/2019 10:47 | I see all the sheep are out in force again today. | investordave
16/10/2019 09:15 | Mercia Asset Management. Woodford IM. 20% to <5%. RNS today. Starting to feel like the end game for WIM sales. | hashertu
16/10/2019 06:56 | 'educated' indeed. | rrb
15/10/2019 18:34 | Many pharma stocks down today it seems - Is this Woodford related as per his demise? It looks like it | mirabeau |
