11/2/2021 10:54 | Very respectable figures in the current climate. | spoole5
23/12/2020 10:33 | You can give a thumbs up by clicking through on Read Full Thread - the extra buttons appear then. Quiet boards are a good sign in my opinion... nothing to talk about because the company is simply getting on doing what it does well without fuss. | 1aconic
17/12/2020 11:30 | I've seen your post SMCNI1968, however since I'm no longer a paying subscriber to ADVFN I don't think I can use the thumbs up feature.
Quiet boards on ADVFN normally are a positive since shares are not high profile and bought up through speculators and some amateurs. With regard to RELX, I think it is too big a market cap to generally be affected by bulletin board messages anyway.
Overall I think this is a quality business, beaten down by the affects of Covid-19 with the market over pricing down the affect of covid on exhibitions (considering it's relative % contribution to group results).
I think once we are in 2021 and exhibitions are in person up and running again I anticipate a re-rating of this share. Over the last few months and for the next few months I continue to build my holding in RELX. | wildshot
16/12/2020 22:02 | Very quiet board- if you see this post could you give it a thumbs up or down just to see if anyone even looks? | smcni1968
08/10/2020 01:05 | Why is this sinking when Informa which is much more reliant on exhibitions is fairly stable? | smcni1968
25/8/2020 11:04 | Nice story here | netcurtains
23/7/2020 20:50 | Thanks pvb. Results not that bad under the circumstances, obviously the exhibitions business was gonna be awful, not quite sure why that seemed to be a shock. | spoole5
23/7/2020 15:58 | 2020 Interim Results
https://uk.advfn.com/stock-market/london/relx-REL/share-news/RELX-PLC-RELX-2020-INTERIM-RESULTS/82908745
Results badly effected by COVID-19, via "Exhibitions" business, but Interim dividend maintained at 13.6p | pvb
23/7/2020 15:52 | I have created this new RELX (LSE:REL) thread because every time I try to look at any of the existing threads on this company it is just a confusing mess! | pvb

24/3/2020 13:27 | Still buying back shares, can't be too concerned! | spoole5
13/2/2020 10:43 | Backed up by a decent set of results. | patientcapital
24/1/2020 14:35 | New ATH I think. | patientcapital
21/2/2019 19:40 | Thanks both. I guess I am biased also because I dont like gearing of 200% or buybacks financed by debt, even though appears to be a Company with long history of expansion as you say. Agree your sentiments, long may it remain British controlled and independent. | electronic303
21/2/2019 18:09 | There is a reason it is highly rated, it delivers steady growth year in year out. Will continue to hold | spoole5
21/2/2019 17:33 | I'm afraid I take the market's present view but having held since 1990 I suppose I am slightly biased. At various times it has often looked too highly rated only to continue to impress. I bought a number of different holdings at that particular moment and Reed International is one of the very few that have remained independent. Long may it remain so. | patientcapital
21/2/2019 11:09 | Also I dont like Companies that buy back so many shares to prop up their share prices. Wasting £250 million which should either reduce debt (preferable) or be distributed to shareholders. | electronic303
21/2/2019 11:05 | Looks too fully valued to me, for a heavily indebted Company. Margins have been declining. Maybe I am being pessimistic, but I find its business model unconvincing. One upset to the good news may see a big pullback. | electronic303
21/2/2019 07:35 | Solid set of results with a positive outlook. | patientcapital
