can't see the reason why this has broken out ..last results were below expectations. Perhaps this is a takeover target ? The chart is a good one though.

Thinking this thing may be a buy, the relative media sector chart is looking very good, so media seems to be making a recovery. The sideways channels has been broken, may be too early, but at some stage when this stock moves it could be huge! because the channel has been so long,,,,, I have gone long on friday and will, watch and wait...........

I reckon so, might fall back to about 550 or it may not, might even fall further if it gets back to 550 but i think it is worth a punt, i'm prepared to sell at a bit of a loss if it does turn back down again, but yet if i dont buy and it goes up i will be kicking myself

up 2% ...to 536 from yesterday ...in line to move to 545/ 550 expect resistance .. note to self :- look to sell at around 545 if it breaches 555 then new start of new trend upward ..if i falls back below 540 short it in line with the trading range.. note to self:- don't do anything silly and come back to this thread tomorrow to record how it progressed

A door creaks open... a figure peers into the darkened room... he sweeps the accumulated cobwebs of ages from the opening... Anyone still watching REL? Looks like a bit of decision point to me - can it cling on around this support level, or resume the plummet?

Wham - this is a big company, they will weather this little hiccup, why panic, they know exactly which of their customers have been affected so no doubt have given advice relating to such protocols in this circumstance to ensure minimal damage.

suppose those individuals will claim for damage, Reed could end up paying $millions? Very bad news... I've got out.. Reed Elsevier says LexisNexis investigating faudulent access at Seisint unit AFX LONDON (AFX) - Reed Elsevier PLC said LexisNexis, its global legal and business information business, has identified a number of incidents of potentially fraudulent access to information about US individuals at its recently acquired Seisint unit. Reed Elsevier also today reaffirmed its 2005 and longer term financial targets of at least 5 pct organic revenue growth and double digit adjusted earnings per share growth at constant rates of exchange. The incidents at LexisNexis arose from the misappropriation by third parties of IDs and passwords from legitimate customers, the company said. It said information on approximately 32,000 individuals may have been fraudulently accessed in these incidents. The information accessed includes names, addresses, social security and drivers' license numbers, but not credit history, medical records or financial information. Reed also said LexisNexis has already taken, or will take actions to enhance security to enable it to maintain its position as an industry leader in the responsible use of data and the protection of individual privacy. The financial implications of this are expected to be manageable within the context of LexisNexis' overall growth. The demand for risk management solutions is expected to remain strong and the outlook for Seisint and the LexisNexis risk management business remains very positive, Reed said.
