18/4/2017 08:47 | If I read that correctly - Gigha now has a better grid connection, so don't need any more flow machines thank you very much, and they're now using machines originally intended for Gigha on a trial in Cornwall. So still not really a new sale and still in trials phase. This'll be years before this really rolls out with meaningful sales and I still say they'll raise more money again at some point. | owenski
18/4/2017 08:26 | I'm saying we will have references to the two main sustainable sources. That's all. References are a key support to sales. So the Gaiai project makes up for any disappointment I might have had. In six months these issues will have been forgotten as early lift-off takes place. | alchemy
18/4/2017 08:25 | Clutching at straws here really, unfortunately. Meanwhile ITM have picked up real orders of £5.66M in first quarter alone! 18 April 2017 ITM Power plc ("ITM Power" or "the Company") Contract and Operations Update GBP5.66m Increase in Signed Contracts in 11 weeks ITM Power (AIM: ITM), the energy storage and clean fuel company, is pleased to announce an update on trading and operations covering the period since the GBP5.7m Working Capital Fundraise and Interim Results announcement on 26 January 2017. The Company currently has GBP22.64m of projects under contract and a further GBP1.72m of contracts in the final stages of negotiation constituting a total pipeline of GBP24.36m. | philjeans
18/4/2017 08:17 | Who is paying for the move to Cornwall? How long will it take to get hooked up? Scott makes it sound easy. | shavian
18/4/2017 08:13 | Did the grant money for Gigha get paid in full ? | fieldhouse
18/4/2017 08:07 | Alchemy, What did you think these Energy Storage batteries were going to be connected to? Due to logistical and legal hurdles, renewables are the main use for the VRFBs at the moment... | troutisout
18/4/2017 08:03 | Ok solar in Cornwall, wind in Scottish Uni project . Getting there. I'm a buyer ..of more. | alchemy
18/4/2017 07:57 | Well this makes this statement look sour, you don't get paid to just transport the systems they need to be connected and working "To date, the Company has dispatched over 2MWh of storage for use in a wide variety of applications, working alongside solar and wind in both grid-connected and off-grid situations." This news isn't a surprise, something was wrong with the Gigha process even though some were desperate to suggest otherwise... However this does mean more delays as the large machines haven't worked in situ yet so why would anyone look to purchase something that hasn't been rigorously tested in the field for a period of time? This was always an investment that was longer term than most PIs felt, not helped by Teedle Dum and Tweedle Dummer and a couple of mates ramping this to the extreme... | troutisout
18/4/2017 07:43 | Engines have not been sold - Still on loan/trial. Jury very much still out (imo) However does indicate moveable - but at what cost ? | pugugly
18/4/2017 07:36 | Who was the guy who lived on Gigha and got berated for saying the units hadn't been installed? Come back all is forgiven! | davemac3
18/4/2017 07:32 | I thought these were 1st gen units and not as efficient | davemac3
18/4/2017 07:28 | I don't see this as bad news. It answers the question that many were asking and also shows the batteries are useable elsewhere. It shows that Redt are now working with another of the big 6 energy businesses and also states that they continue to work with BEIS which is brilliant news considering what future potential this could bring to the business. Ok disappointing that Gigha didn't complete but clearly outside of Redt control but at least this demonstrates that the batteries can be moved and resited for different uses. So no, I don't see this as spinning bad news. | cheek212
18/4/2017 07:25 | Agreed very bad news - The Grand Old Duke of York comes to mind - or 1 step forward 3 steps back. | pugugly
18/4/2017 07:16 | Talk about spinning bad news! | waterloo01
18/4/2017 07:11 | Well there's the answer re Gigha so hopefully shut a lot of people up. Interesting to see that we are now working with Centrica which is another of the big six, not one that I recall bring mentioned previously. | cheek212
