Hope that makes sense I can't edit an iPad post. But evaluations will shoot and then will need time for conventional ratings to catch up. Nothing goes in straight lines.

We read about this and expect the light switch to go on. But other people do lots of other things and this means the trajectory of the share price is slower than we feel. But that means a more affordable trajectory to what we feel is an inevitable higher price of many multiples the present one.

The price of 490 per kwh is only a starting point for accelerated sales to begin and as redt's technology develops even further then this will enable it to bring the price cost down more. In one of the CEO's interviews, he stated that they would be looking at the possibility of renting the liquid elecrolyte of the system to the customer which would reduce the cost of the product by up to 1/3 of current pricing!

Good news today but a bit slow on the market! I know it's Friday but was expecting a bit more volume given the excellent news this morning. Perhaps it will pick up a bit when the Americans get out of bed this afternoon.

The MM,s can fick about with the share price as they see fit, but this will just rise and rise, as the news unfolds and the orders roll in.. when this is paying a dividend it will be in the £££;,s not pence, but take-over will come before then, hope they have deep pockets !! the compotition will be strong...

Solar Will Replace Nearly All Retiring Coal in Texas

In the next 15 years, Texas expects to add somewhere between 14 and 27 gigawatts of solar capacity, according to a new long-term system assessment from the state’s grid operator, ERCOT.

ERCOT is considering eight different scenarios, such as continued low natural-gas prices or extreme weather. Under all scenarios, solar makes up nearly all of the new capacity. In all of the scenarios, ERCOT assumes that changes to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s regional haze rule will go into effect. Those changes are expected to make the rule more stringent and impact power producers with emissions that affect air quality.

As more solar energy comes on-line, coal will retire. About 5 gigawatts of coal are expected to go offline in the next five years because of the regional haze rule, according to ERCOT’s assessment. Even without the regional haze rule, some coal will retire anyway.

E.ON Energy Deutschland GmbH is a leading energy company in Germany.

Some 3,000 employees supply natural gas and electricity to consumers dependably around the clock at very reasonable prices and with a level of customer service distinguished time and again.

E.ON furthermore is a solution provider for an increasingly decentralised, ecological and digital energy world, e.g. with servicing and consultancy services around photovoltaics, energy storage, energy checking and efficiency measures.

E.ON Energy Deutschland GmbH operates 32 sites across Germany and is headquartered in Munich. Around 6 million private, business and industry customers of E.ON thus benefit both from the group's strengths and its regional and local presence.

Infrastructure chief: UK could be energy storage world leader if government acts now

The chief executive of the National Infrastructure Commission has urged government to act on the recommendations of its reports or miss the financial benefits of pioneering smarter energy systems.

Phil Graham told National Grid Power Responsive conference that the UK could be a world leader in energy storage with the right market frameworks in place. Government, he said, had to enable those frameworks.

However, on seeing the company's vanadium redox battery, a rechargeable battery that uses vanadium ions to store potential chemical energy, he told the engineers of a smaller, more efficient VRB that he saw in the UK. He also shared his knowledge of German hydrogen battery stations when engineers showed their latest achievements in this field.

ndia Looking To Launch National Energy Storage Mission
June 16th, 2016 by smiti

India’s renewable energy targets will massive amounts of capacity added to the grid over a very short period of time. The Indian government is looking at ways to minimize its impact on the existing grid.

According to media reports, the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy is contemplating the launch of a National Energy Storage Mission. An official of the ministry stated the idea is being looked without giving any details.

A possible energy storage policy would most likely be linked with the solar or wind energy policy. Recently, the Solar Energy Corporation of India announced that it will launch a 750 MW solar power tender for the state of Andhra Pradesh. A supplementary tender for setting up 100 MW energy storage capacity will also be floated.

Hi, worth a read of LAM's latest contract

It's a big project and underscores the direction of renewables, also, with large scale intermittent outputs one can see the rationale for storage as the next 'big thing'.

RED seems to be in the right arena with the right products, costs are coming down.

"This is one of the cheapest containerised Vanadium Redox Flow Machines available on the market today and we believe that this price point, starting at $490/kWh, is sufficient to unlock the market for large scale, commercial energy storage in the UK, Europe and Africa."

another fact REDT are entering the largest battery market, its size is estimated to be over $220 billion

160 billion on grid and 60 billion off grid market place according to Scott.

Once gen2 launched, contract production, REDT will be market leader, Scott's words.

Well that is Gen2 launched, now ready for take off...

Quote me on saying orders?

I said they have 5,000 enquiries a couple years back, it was then our booby who said poor conversion rate!! Well he only needs read the RNS to understand they are announcing one to market, one which will be a showcase for others to see and more importantly one for installastion engineers to be trained on maybe?!!!

The other is going to a large firm who will roll out to its customers... pretty shrewd from the company choosing important growth markets rather than a single sale wouldn't you say?

Additionally from what Booby was saying, they have just started sales mode.. some of these will be large orders that require finance, planning consent amounts other things, bestbthe company prioritises who gets what first. That would be those that can be installed immediately or those that have a large customer base they can sell too.

Finally if you refer previous RNS it states about installation guidelines, company will now be working hard at getting installation partners trained and ready, it is no good having third party sellers if all installations are done internally, streamlined is good for our bottom line.

It is booby who shoots off with "poor" without considering what is going on, RNS clearly states plenty of interest it is now the sales team who need prioritise what goes where to maximise revenues to redt, no point selling a system if they can't take delivery due to planning etc etc.

I have a DREAM. That the govt insists energy companies install a 250kw + REDbattery at every substation complete with simple algorithm to provide a fully distributed grid with much higher resilience. With spikes eliminated some very expensive standby kit could go, and current vulnerabilities to attack (nuclear anyone?) much reduced. And, btw I could retire to the Bahamas.

I have a NIGHTMARE. That a Chinese govt sponsored company comes along and offers 20 p a share. Management ignores our squeals of pain and accepts. Our govt cowtows and says it is another indication of how great our technology is, and all the jobs and benefits go to China. And, btw, the new UK retirement age becomes 85.

I know which is most likely :-(
