25/11/2016 07:19 | > put some figures on the contracts. Are they making money on this or is it a loss leading contract. All you need know is they are below $500 kWh, that is cheapest in market and a game changer for the industry, they will no doubt be making money at this level. Add in the battery/machine retains its vanadium which is around a third cost of system then they are down to low $300's No wonder they have a large order book, they will need priorities who gets them first!!! Remember these machines will go on for 25 years and most likely still going in 40-50 years time, cost wise these are well in front of market!!! | dogrunner11
25/11/2016 07:11 | It looks a positive announcement but it would nice if they could start to put some figures on the contracts. Are they making money on this or is it a loss leading contract. It is quite important they manage expectations with the current market capitalisation because if they show little revenue for all the announcements the share price will take a big hit. Can anyone tell me what Finncap have for revenue for this year and next? Thanks in advance. | monty panesar
24/11/2016 21:58 | Yes exactly Alchemy. There are sophisticated controls in the software of each battery unit, to maximise efficiency and energy depletion curves.Of course at the energy utility level there is also very sophisticated predictive power demand management, that's been there for many years. All they need to do is to connect the known capacities and characteristics of all the batteries into their demand management systems, and bob's your uncle... albeit RedT are currently targeting the largely independent small/medium-scale storage market rather than the full grid-scale facilities FWIU. | cyberbub
24/11/2016 20:23 | Good. So , for example, the dials at the centre and the controller/algorithm can Decide that Worthing A can survive til Sun up given wind speed is 11 knots without transmission from a Trent power station.? A made-up scenario. | alchemy
24/11/2016 16:06 | Alchemy YES... | dlg3
24/11/2016 15:59 | RedT rather than black. Guys could our technology be used at substations on the grid? I am a layman on such matters btw. | alchemy
24/11/2016 14:32 | Ah so twill be Red Friday eh? | alchemy

24/11/2016 08:29 | Share price down on zero trades! Funny that - why don't they try pushing it up rather than down if they need shares!!! | cheek212
24/11/2016 08:18 | I truly hope not the IC. Something with a track record or better still, something with content. | alchemy

23/11/2016 17:29 | Looks like our buyer scooped another 250,000 shares today, as I said earlier fleecing the weak !! | dlg3
23/11/2016 12:25 | Notice that I said pounds and pence but clearly stated in $$ | dogrunner11
23/11/2016 12:24 | Scott said they are looking at a 100mw battery plus hours of storage... if you calculate that into pounds and pence, based on a 5 hour storage and say $500 per kWh it's $250++ million... at $350 per kWh thats $175m++ I suspect these are waiting for confirmation of energy storage clarity in UK, that could be confirmed today in Autumn Statement, no problems if not confirmed today could be early next year... If it is not confirmed it will still not impact on energy storage projects below 50mw, nor projects outside of UK such as Europe whereby Scott has confirmed a market in Germany for coupling with wind farms TODAY... plus the few billion dollar industry in Africa, Middle East, India and China if he so wishes. Oh and we have Gigha, once confirmed the Scottish Minister says they have scores of islands that can benefit from this technology TODAY... As DLG says, you can't win if you are not in!!! | dogrunner11
23/11/2016 11:49 | This is about patience, nothing has changed...the positive thing is that the CEO is meticulous and will announce news when Redt is ready. We are not privy to all that is going on but i remain very positive and can see only a good outcome in the long run. Hold tight and enjoy!! | cj666
23/11/2016 11:40 | Gonna be treading water till the next rns, hopefully will be a bit more than shifting just one unit!! | spoole5 |
