That is the issue with RRE. They produce. RBD are still in the proving up period. Producers have lots of issues atm as some will be loss making now.

This is a 2008 style bear market. Dow Jones gone from close to 30000 to 23,500 and still falling. Soon there will be companies worth less than their cash in the bank - no one will be sparred. Exactly like in 2008, the companies that need funds are looking at 'lights out'.

Now we know what Stephen Williams has been doing to fill his time while non-activity has been the order of the day for months... Hawking himself round for paid directorships!!!

Must be Sachin's turn next ... 'Watching Rome burn, and all that', springs to mind..

plasybryn,

I see it the otherway. In a downturn, its exactly these experienced city slickers (who have spent much time studying the problems of the small oil space) who we need. When money is short at hand, its money men with strong backers that are needed.

It may not sound great at all, but they raised funds much higher than current price, with solid backing in order to ensure they are not left high and dry for crucial operations. We are funded for WN and Parta. They have, to some extent, the choice to slow cashburn and sit on funds knowing they can see out the worst of this downturn. There will be other small oilers who will go under in this crisis - these will not. And yes, they are moneymen not geologists, but they will have advisors for the field level DD. One of the things they mentioned at the start was they do not want to become yet another aim oil company with high risk assets, high cashburn and a roster of mouths to feed.

Thanks. But how does it stack up against income generated? Is that steady or can we expect increases soon? I assume cash flow is currently restricted just to the Californian assets? I also assume the two were Investment Mgmt. trained and that lack of direct industry knowledge has shown up their weaknesses/naviety perhaps. Its a tough/dirty industry and I can't see two city slickers being that well received. More like they are there to be exposed. They will certainly need all there skills in this type of environment where even the best can be found wanting.

Uggy,

Now now, let WN do the talking hey. Until then, there really isn't much to say.

The entire market is getting shafted atm, let's see where we are once WN testing begins.
