For the Saudis plan to work, that has to be the case, surely.

Yeah, totally crazy. Also given the main asset in play here is onshore oil&gas so should have much better economics in a low oil price environment. Shale, oilsands and even most offshore will be under serious pressure if these prices continue for any length.

Am afraid I think it's time to sit on hands. Been mainly cash since October blip last year. Things have to settle so see what pans out in next week or two. What worries me re oil is there seems to be a definite triangle which suggests it could be down here for a considerable time, unless it breaks could go on u til 2022. Will try post chart later. I still have a few rbd too to be honest but not many. Not for the faint of heart this lol

Uggy,

I don't think Parta is going anywhere soon. WN is still awaiting approvals. I think they have enough money to chop and change plans if need be. Its times like these that present the best opportunities.

I agree with you, they do need to get on and sell/monetise assets - not sure this is the market to do it in. But they have done well to raise the large sum of funds they did much higher than the current price. They can slow cashburn and or ops to preserve funds - other companies will be drawing on plans to do exactly that right now.

cashandcard. All the money they raised is to be put into WN & Parta so if they wanted to look at other projects they have to prove up & sell a current asset or raise. They won't get a raise done anyway due to current market conditions plus the fact they lied re timeframes the last time.
The current car crash is obviously beyond any ones control but I don't think they're as bright as they make out I'm afraid.

I'd change your name. It's not a buy yet in fact we could be down here for a considerable time.ie Oil. Been calling a correction for sometime so do some research. Markets go up and down. Primarily manipulation so the big boys can make money.I wouldn't be hedging with gold either. Ps "Investors" would not be worried - right?!

Your broker must be loving you. LolGold looking for a pullback then one more up. At end of day Trump will want things ramped up for November so not down here for ever but these markets making the most of fear and panic.

Judi,

You know what I mean. They have the money to ride through this storm.

In fact, this may play into their strategy - there will be desperate oil companies out there just trying to survive this collapse. They maybe forced into divesting assets.

Dire, yes. But they have a warchest of cash. With the collapse Brent crude and wti, it's a very good position to be in. There are other small oil companies that will go bust now oil is below $40bbl again.Cash
