09/6/2021 15:55 | Brent crude has recently broken though $70 after spending 3 months trying and failing to break through $70. After months of weakness, the rouble is showing some strength and has moved below 102 to £1. Warehouse demand in Russia is very strong with rents starting to increase. Meanwhile, the share price of RAVP is stuck because of the placing leading to a massive number of shares looking for firm holders to replace the short term profit takers. Depressing, and going to take a long time for the placing shares to work their way to firm holders. However, not so bad if your main interest is to hold permanently for the high yield income, paid quarterly. | kenny

07/6/2021 08:31 | New update from Equity Development "an assured 10.5%" Can't get the link to work but you'll find it on the RAV thread. | igbertsponk
07/6/2021 08:23 | ED research:- To us, the valuation of Raven’s Ordinary and Cumulative Pref shares appears to provide inexpensive access to a high-quality warehouse portfolio, respectively yielding 6.8% prospective and an assured 10.5%. and Investors attracted by the core property case but concerned by short term currency and commodity price volatility, could consider the attractions of the Cumulative Preference Shares (RAVP). These currently yield an assured 10.5% vs the 6.8% prospective for the ordinary shares more vulnerable to forex shifts. The ordinaries should, however, deliver an attractive medium term total return, if a more stable political backdrop prompts RUB/GBP recovery. | cwa1

28/5/2021 17:15 | The directors live sumptuously on the pref income. It's a great return. Yes, they bought below par but that's what these greedy beggars do. | rayg5
26/5/2021 17:41 | Who cares, has long has the 12% pref keeps getting paid. | montyhedge
26/5/2021 09:55 | Shareholders are still being subject to prejudice by the entitled parties who were given that enormous Woodford chunk at discount. This could go on for years whilst they realise their profit from this dodgy deal which will run in to tens of millions. | my retirement fund
19/5/2021 15:07 | Paper no more. 300,000 gone through at 115 and 115.25. | zangdook
17/5/2021 08:14 | zangdook, the 300,000 at 90.8 was probably the management consortium backing up someone who did not take up their commitment (and making a £75,000 paper profit in the process! ). | gfrae
16/5/2021 15:13 | They could make it a penny a month if they were really feeling chummy. | zangdook

13/5/2021 12:54 | Love how rapidly these seem to come around. If it was 6p every half year it wouldn't feel nearly as good. | spectoacc

07/5/2021 08:13 | All resolutions passed so the buyback will proceed. Pretty overwhelming votes for everything so onwards we go! | igbertsponk
29/4/2021 13:32 | I have voted against. It is a very good deal or would be if the shares were being bought in for cancellation.. but the main beneficiary is the management who have an instant £8m paper profit at today's prices. Are they not paid enough ? | gfrae
29/4/2021 12:42 | I'm not voting. It'll pass but I don't approve but not strongly enough to bother registering an objection with my tiny fraction of a percent. Pathetic but I spend too much time on this stuff anyway. | zangdook
29/4/2021 12:35 | I've voted in favour. Try other thread for expectations of 2028 inflation on banana prices in Ulan Bator. | igbertsponk
29/4/2021 00:35 | "Goldman Sachs’ latest forecast is for (US) inflation to remain around the Fed’s target at least through 2024. The firm said it sees the rate, as viewed through the Fed’s favorite indicator, the core personal consumption expenditures price index, to run at 2.05% at the end of 2021, then 2%, 2.1% and 2.2% each year through 2024, respectively." | kenny
