19/10/2021 16:11 | Those under 120 are sales not purchases. | rahosi
19/10/2021 14:47 | Can't be much, the volume is only 75,000 odd. | gfrae
19/10/2021 14:42 | Lot of buying today, could we go back to 140p coming weeks. That's where it use to be. | montyhedge
19/10/2021 12:59 | Well done. All brokers are annoying but some are much worse than others and it's inspiring to see someone actually taking the plunge and moving. | zangdook
19/10/2021 12:35 | Have instigated my move from HSBC ID to my other broker - XO. There are zero charges for my move as HSBC are in the process of changing their T&Cs & I have notified HSBC that I do not accept their new T&Cs. | rahosi
18/10/2021 21:45 | I'm also with Halifax SD and they are much the same. Always late with THRL and a few others but never missed payments and good customer support in general. | jong
18/10/2021 10:49 | JonG, Why is HSBC late paying nearly every RAVP dividend? Why is HSBC late paying nearly EVERY dividend I am due. (NUMEROUS complaints with waffle responses). Also see HOLTS 1160 & 1177, ramellous 1161, CWA1 1163, montyhedge 1165, pauldaviesuk 1167, Santar 1168. There is a pattern. HSBC have sent me 'Important changes to the HSBC InvestDirect Sharedealing and Investment Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”) & If we do not hear from you before 26 November 2021 about the changes, we will be entitled to assume you accept the changes and consent to the updated Terms. You have the right to close your Account(s) with us at any time by calling us on the number below. There will be no charge for closing your Account(s) if you inform us that you wish to do so before 26 November 2021. My family has been with 'Midland Bank' since before WW2. This seems like an opportunity to leave. | rahosi
18/10/2021 10:29 | Inflation maybe good for the balance sheet but RAVP is held for the interest rate inflation is not going to make it attractive. Seems the 'experts' are beginning to believe that inflation will now not be temporary so BOE talking about interest rate rises. I mean who would have predicted that, oh yes I did long time ago as many others did in other forums pointing to the blatantly obvious inflationary environment that has been brewing due to massive money printing just waiting a spark which has been provided by covid. Anyway beware inflation it is not your friend in fixed interest. | pogue
18/10/2021 07:24 | There is obviously the offset of leases tied to indexation. I think they are pretty standard in RAVP leases | horndean eagle
17/10/2021 23:16 | Inflation may not be good for Rav earnings, but it is good for NAV. | gfrae
16/10/2021 09:20 | Why would they not send the correct amount? And why is it always Barclays that they don't send the correct amount to? | zangdook
15/10/2021 19:36 | Rahosi, I was told the delay can arise when when the paying company doesn't send the correct amount of dividend money to the nominee stockbroker. Suppose HSBC have 100 holders of RAVP on last Div day and each have 1000 shares. If the dividend was 10p per share HSBC should receive £10,000 from Raven (£100 per holder). If Raven only send £9,500 on the correct date, HSBC have to contact Raven and request and agree the full amount. This can take a few days to receive the correct amount. They will not distribute the dividend until they have the full correct amount so that every holder is treated fairly and the same. If another stockbroker receives the expected amount on the correct day they can distribute it that same day. Hence some stockbrokers pay on the correct days and others have to dispute what they received and wait for the correct amount. | jong
14/10/2021 15:00 | With inflation in Russia still rising, (now well over 7.3%} it looks like the central bank will keep raising interest rates from the current 6.75%. Pundits are predicting the next rise will come at the next central bank meeting on 22 October. Not good news for the company's earnings, going forward. | kenny
11/10/2021 15:35 | Yes get their 3p dividend, sell a few. | montyhedge
11/10/2021 14:06 | Looking at the clip sizes these privileged insiders are doing daily, in their pref placing heist I would imagine this weakness could continue for a good few year yet. | my retirement fund

08/10/2021 20:41 | My daughter works for HSBC and frequently advises that there are problems in a variety of associated areas with procedure , security and change , she regularly gets the it's another departments problem reply , they are so bureaucratic, no one comes back with the we will fix this reply , they are hopeless . | holts
08/10/2021 18:21 | The free 25p in the pound multi million pound share dumping heist shows little sign of coming to an end anytime soon. | my retirement fund
08/10/2021 14:09 | JonG, not in this case. X-O credited my wife her RAVP dividend on the due date. | rahosi
07/10/2021 19:59 | I feel your frustration ! I used to be the same. Now I just don't bother looking for 10 working days to stay calm !!!. I think it's more likely that the companies paying the dividends are the ones to blame. | jong
07/10/2021 15:58 | Are HSBC suggesting that their systems are so woeful, that almost EVERY dividend is paid late? It seems to me that there needs to be more regulation relating to nominee account management. Any idea who the regulatory body is that oversees such companies? I was due to receive my SAN dividend yesterday. Guess what... HSBC have failed to pay it. | rahosi
07/10/2021 14:00 | I once complained and got a reply saying they are allowed 10 working days to credit the dividend. This is due to sorting out discrepancies if their calculations differ from the total amount they receive from the company. They don't distribute the dividend individually until they have agreed and received the correct total amount from company. | jong
05/10/2021 23:09 | Re: #1167 - divi arrived today, 5-Oct via HSBC InvestDirect - some days later than on previous years . . . | pauldaviesuk
05/10/2021 10:34 | Ditto. Not until today did HSBC credit me with my dividend!!!! They are not fit for purpose. (I shall be adding this event to my ongoing formal complaint) (X-O was on due date) | rahosi |
