Its fab isn't it? Algeria/Slovenia was a bit drab though, but was to be expected. Argies and Geemand look a threat.

I'm afraid I sided with the pirates on this one. My money was literally on the Geemans and I've now moved it to the Dutch and Italians today. I got a £10 free bet on the Geemand at 14/1 for the trophy. Actually with free bets this year I've covered most of the top contenders. :) Everyone slates the Geemans until they get on the pitch and they show they're contenders. Its a shame that the Ozzy's lost their playmaker as they're gonna get a hard time now against both serbia and ghana who both look tight at the back with some sting going forwards. I'll not be around much this next couple of weeks as a result, too much quality foot on the box. :)

COMING BACK DOWN TO PLANET EARTH

Shares in all companies very rarley shoot up from pence to pounds such as oil exploration companies...they do go up on news like buy on the possibility and peops sell on the fact and bring the share price back down.
In my experience it takes a long time for a penny share company to hit the big time.....companies need to make and prove profits increasing their profits year on year and then perhaps companies share price can reach 50p from 3p but beleive me its never overnight. A huge oil find of billions of barrels will hit the news but I very much doubt a £1 a share will be seen for some years. It takes a long time TO become a millionair on the stockmaket especially when buying and trading PENNY SHARES. Life is not that easy.

Some holder stats.
Top 40 shareholders represent 654m and 74% of shares on issue.
The balance is 26% not in Top 40 with individual holdings below 1.5m.
Of Top 40 there are 428m shares in UK representing 48.2% of shares on issue.
This leaves 74 - 48% = 26% of Top 40 shares on ASX.

So in summary;
48% of shares are UK owned and 52% still on ASX.
But 26% of shares are Top 40 holders who typically are all long term holders.
And, the balance, also 26% are not Top 40.
This leaves ONLY A POSSIBILITY that 26% of shares on issue are available via short term holders.
MOST of these 26% actually hold less than 500,000 shares.

And in a nutshell, the trading stock in Australia will come from a pool of only about 229m shares which is getting smaller by the day.

Oh, De....ar. ......sob, sniffle. I thought we might not win, but I did not think we would loose.

Back to business. I think that the share price now has new support both in UK and oz. Happy to see more shares go from Oz, as will put more pressure on shares there and UK has population to absorb anything that gets sent over. Ultimately this will put pressure on the options as the source of shares dries up on ASX.:)

De Germans do not have the greatest of teams at de WC. OZ I have been infomed by my son who knows his footie big time told me OZ are a threat to de Geemans. Lets see how it pans out.
