Usher,

Its hard to say exactly. I was hoping for an RNS on drilling progress this week as we've had weekly updates so far as you say (and even some within a couple of days of each other). Logging and casing of the well shouldn't take 7 days so they should be drilling ahead now at the mo. I wonder did they get shallow gas shows in this well or why are they logging before setting intermediate casing? hmm. I would have assumed that all wirelining would have been done to the final casing point covering the main primary targets. Hopefully they'll reveal why they logged to the intermediate casing point. Probably around TD they'll announce the shut in of Smith-1 for prep for frac.

Anyone reckon we may get an RB1 or Smith Fracc update tomorrow at all?...we've had updates each week or so...and had one last Friday.

What do you feel Captain?...or do you think we may get an update next week?

Many thanks

Cashh I am afraid we are in Africa Oils hands regarding ann. of rig mob. Whether or not it will happen before 16 June is yet to be seen as this will be a trigger for RRL raising $10m. If not RRL will probably raise around $2.5m to cover ongoing operational costs. Meanwhile we have rising interest via OPL clients and others which hopefully will push the share price into double figures making any share issue at more palatable levels for present shareholders.

Next ann. will involve progress in RB with mud-logs confirming any intersects, and then ann. regarding frac of Smith which will establish new flow rates and enhance our P2 and P3 outcomes into P1 certainties. This should be a seriously good month for shareholders, one which will see the shareprice firm and possibly see the catalyst of a share re-rating.

Morning All,

Doc, the OPL note makes for good reading. As suspected, it confirms what most of us have known for long, that the market has not yet valued this one fairly. 4.125P? ......once I've released funds from elsewhere, this is one of the few co's I'm certain to be increasing my stake in. In PL's recent BRR interview, he mentioned that AOI were only weeks away from pushing that final button for mobilisation to start for Puntland ops. With Afrens entry into the East African margin, the interest should keep on growing and eventually the spotlight will fall on us. Its a huge compliment for AOI to get such an excellent, well-managed company like afr as a partner. Whether they'll discover oil in Ethiopia or Kenya is a different question. I feel very confident, we in Puntland have the highest chance of discovering oil in East Africa. The previously drilled wells are testament to this.

The mms are their own worst enemy in making a market in these shares.
rigidly sticking to formal 0.25p spreads and even 0.50p spreads is suppresssing trading and actively encourages lots of small traders/punters to take a small turn when the bid price moves up by 0.25p.
a spread of say 4.10p/4.30p would attract a lot more trades and almost certainly reduce price volatility.

Acknowledged 2187. I didn't really want to go too deep into the research note, after all there are not many on this BB who have the £20m nett worth to be considered a client of OPL. Well, not yet anyway.:)

notarealdr,

OPL's valuation is fully diluted

When you take into account the options, then they are saying they value to company today at 22 pence (or there abouts)

So we have a 17 pence gap to make up

Remember also, OPL have given themselves the opportunity to revalue the company as milestones are achieved

The next likely milestone is the RB1 success and increased production and reserves as a result

Best,

jr
