Good news for us? I see DES and ROKH are bombing out big time today......maybe this explains wh?

The failure of BP PLC's (BP) seemingly promising effort to plug a mile-deep oil leak in the Gulf of Mexico is sending shivers down the spines of investors who previously considered offshore exploration and production a lucrative frontier.

Offshore oil producers, drilling contractors and makers of subsea equipment saw their shares plummet on Tuesday as investors worried about the fallout from BP's continued inability to stop or contain the largest oil spill in U.S. history. Those companies directly tied to the disaster face the prospect of litigation and tarnished reputations, while all companies that rely on deepwater operations are expected to encounter tighter regulation and reduced access to oil and gas resources

doc i agree with your reasoning for Sagem ... hes a normal PI who like me goes through the highs and lows ... not sure about your comments on pwhite .. hes a paid deramper imho and a bad one so i have him blocked ... as for sagem ... hes ok in my book dont try and talk people into buying or selling ... hes a holder and looks to the more enlightened of you ( notice i didnt say us ) for guidence .. ie .. hes the type of person the likes of pwhite try to influance ... and lets be honest here ... he puts smiles on faces .. with his hair pulling when share price goes down ... and grin as wide as the thames estury when it goes north ... sagem ... you keep it up ... you make me smaile

You're of course going on the assumption that Sagem's analysis of market movements is guided by predictable irrationality. I, personally, wouldn't count on it, but each to their own I guess.

really Red Fish?

i will have you know that the following posts from him were the trigger for my last top up! and i am well up now so hardly dead in the water:

SAGEM - 17 May'10 - 08:46 - 10733 of 11255No change going down again perhaps its only WATER in the well after all what a DUD

SAGEM - 18 May'10 - 13:53 - 10813 of 11254I cant understand how these shares can keep going down day after day with all the so called good news that was recently announced.....is their something we dont know by any chance

when he starts getting over excited he will not be able to contain himself and thats when i will sell.

who needs to spend £££ on trading systems when you have the time tested SAGEM system for free.

filter him at your peril...

DrC, if you read Sagem's posts in order to ascertain market sentiment, I'm afraid you're dead in the water

A true indicator of market sentiment lol.

He is jubilant with every buy and in despair with every sell.

On a day like today that is 400+ emotional changes he will have to contend with.

Then I'm an idiot... but a content one.

Content to avoid the constant hand wringing with every blip and jubilation with every miniscule rise.

There no shortage of market sentiment on here without listening to the buffoons.

anyone who filters sagem is an idiot. He is a typical private investor and doesn't claim to be sophisticated.
he is emotional and posts exactly how he feels at any given time. He cheers when the price goes up and despairs when it goes down.

he rarely contributes anything of substance, and seems incapable of moderating himself. He just hopes to make money on the back of picking a winner.

If you filter him you will lose a reliable indicator of market sentiment - and if. like me, you are not the best at timing your buys or sells – he is the most effective contrary indicator you will ever find.

Stick around Sagem, you are needed here, always welcome
