"...something must be wrong as OZ was down and now we go down again today"

There is nothing wrong. This is a company that has about £2 million worth of cash left and valued at £28 million. Revenues before expenses in Texas are about US$1800 a day and revenues from its other projects are years away.

At some point there has to be a re-alignment between the market cap, revenues and dwindling cash balance.

PWhite73 ....Thank you for your very true and excellent comments you are so right in your judgment...I have been investing for over 25 years and it is still no surprise to read on not just this board but many others...investors that live in cloud cookoo land/ If you make money your are sometimes just very lucky as market makers take advantage of these silly investors prepared to loose their so called hard earned money. Range is a total gamble like many other companies you either win or loose simple its all heads or tails spin a coin. Most of these stocks are classified as PENNY SHARES and extremely speculative.. the tip sheets make money out of the amount they charge......if they were so good they would all be millionaires a long time ago but they are still pushing their tips and some are paying FOOLS AND THEIR MONEY SOON PART.

"accumulate undervalued gems regardless of thresholds in your portfolio"

Now what a silly remark to make. You could have just as easily said "if you're going to do the national lottery always make sure you pick the winning numbers".

The fact of the matter is with these AIM stocks nobody knows what the undervalued gems are. And even if they did you would still have the criminal antics of the market makers to deal with before you could see a return on your funds. And if they were truly undervalued gems would they be on the AIM in the first place.

Another thing that makes me sick is everybody going on about GKP. GKP is just one stock in a bloody million that has turned good. It reminds me of the early days in retail share trading when all the tipsheets use to mention 'Pollypeck'.

"If you had bought Pollypeck at 2p when we advised you would currently be sitting on a £1,000.000 profit". Of course had the people publishing the tipsheet took their own advice and bought Pollypeck they wouldn't still be writing for the tipsheet five years later.

IB - no offence taken at all. understandable misunderstanding (mmmhh...sounds like a 'known unknowns and known knowns' statement in the making).

cash - thanks for the thoughts. sounds like we had a similar strategy / experience over at GKP. here's to a repeat at RRL (albeit further down the line and somewhat after VST does its thing this summer).

Ivan

Im in here for the following news flow:-

- Reserves report
- Smith #2 spudding and maybe success
- Georgia siesmic
- Puntland spud date

I am not sure if I will still be in when they start drilling in Puntland but will make an assessment nearer the time. I like stocks like this with low risk news flow and also the benefit of holding within an ISA.

pimpernel,

Thanks for passing that on. It would be useful for most although I can see it attracting the hot money brigade. Let them pay full whack is what I say ;) I usually spread my money over several co's with a keen eye towards keeping the portfolio risk-balanced. The largest single position I ever took in any one stock was GKP last year. But it wasn't in one go. I bought just after Mar lows at 6.8p, then 10.2p and 11p. I accumulated 170k of them with available funds. It sure paid off as most of them have since been sold off at £1+. I guess you have to be confident in your research and when certain, take the Warren Buffet approach - accumulate undervalued gems regardless of thresholds in your portfolio. Don't let a good thing go to waste.

I've already stated that I believe the window of opportunity to accumulate here (barring any sudden changes) will probably last until the end of summer. So I will be accumulating at these prices. However, things could turn dramatically. Like which direction Georgian blocks are headed, goer at 50% or farmout? I guess it depends on what frac-stim of Smth-1, RB-1 and the subsequent cashflow is like plus the quality of targets derived from the data. Quite a bit of of news in the 'pipeline' so to speak.

Keep in mind this is still valued just over £30mln.

Pimpernel. Thanks for the clarification. Its always a good idea to separate your own thoughts from anyone's that you pasted, or it is not very easy to see exactly who they should be attributed to. But of course, you realise that now, as do I. :) I still feel the same response, although not to you, but the feelings are now directed to the writer, MrRight. Hope I didn't offend you, for if the comments weren't yours, then a genuine mistake.

Brasso. (Hi). No, I don't think so. But its strange the Smith well success didn't have as much effect as I thought it would. I actually thought we should have risen more, but maybe it was the placing that threw it? I'm hoping the next well should make people more comfortable with it, and hold at a slightly higher level til we get to Puntland. Are you in til then?

As regards GOO, I don't think its a dog, more that it has had a hell of an upheaval, and some pretty rotten luck. I think the basics are good, but when you get incidents like SA1 watering hole, the Russian technology thats worse than Aeroflot's, SA2, the Minmet Saga, Cuban blocks that never happened, the loss of our CEO, and now Ben Anderson and Iraj Parvizi being associated with us, then folk aren't going to recommend that Granny puts her life savings into it. But then, thats often the best time to buy (when its so unloved), and I shall certainly be buying back in. I only sold so that I could buy some more GED, and I made a nice little sum there. Now I have topsliced, I shall be back in GOO very soon. The current price seems too good to be true.

RRL is better than GKP? By what measure do you make such a statement. I have about the same amount of cash in both; GKP at 82p and RRL at 3.8p. I believe both could more than double but I cannot compare the two.

im out of GKP for the moment as RRL is too tasty, it's going to be better than GKP, everyone just needs to relax but lets say 5p tmw needs to get to 10p then it will start really moving! happy to hold and walk away with 100K plus... chicken feed guys when it goes!

Sagem....

and what happens if the Oz market does go lower?
We suddenly have a duster on our hands?
Whitey was correct all along?
The earth will stop spinning?

Have you done your research? Doesn't sound like it.
My guess is you were here for a quick buck and won't be heard of again in a few days if you lose your nerve or we go higher.

Since you've been here you've been a harbinger of doom, and as such you've joined the elite.

IB - i assume you know your quote-back is not by me but by said poster on iii whose words i copied and pasted here to gauge what people thought.

EDIT: IB - i just re-read what i posted: i can see why you thought the last parts about credibility and 'i didn't want to post this' etc were my words. they weren't: they were the end of the posting on iii.

Pimpernel ... "but i didnt want to lose any credability here as im going to be here for atleast the next year and i see us as friends that need to stick together"

Before you can lose credibility, first you have to have some. You don't start off with £1500 of cred, like you do in Monopoly, you have to earn it.

I have 100% in RRL (30k) & I know this is 'not' a bet, did the same with GKP and walked out with £55k in 3 months! DYOR!
