06/5/2010 08:22 | SAGEM: if you believe that then you shouldn't be invested in AIM oil and gas, as it would make explorers of no value, as very very few AIM O&G companies make profits, and if they did, they would already have value added via the share price. The value is in buying them whilst they are not in profit, as the transition then is what can cause share price to be multiples on the successes and of course 0 on the failures. | investorjon
06/5/2010 08:22 | Spangle93 - Thank you for your very interesting post. I do think Range has huge potential like any other oil explorers who actually finds commercial quantities of oil and thats all I am hoping and keeping my fingers crossed for....we will then see a good earnt share price increase. I notice again today we are down 3.5% Good luck...perhaps with a new goverment the whole market should go up and Range with it until the sellers come back into the market as usual. | sagem
06/5/2010 08:04 | SAGEM Plenty rumour drives the share price | shrule
06/5/2010 07:55 | We will get no decent share price increase until this company can proove they are making good and sustained PROFITS//////thats what puts up share prices not what might be? | sagem
05/5/2010 18:48 | hulk, I think that scenario could play out. But I would be more interested in what the analysts make of the figures. Cash | cashandcard

05/5/2010 15:27 | SAGEM, I am not going to rubbish your statement. I will tackle it rationally so here goes... When investing in explorers, it does pay to have done your research so you can pickout those that are de-risked (in the exploration/developm If you are an explorer, what more could you do to increase your chances of success then go where previous drilling shows oil&gas is present? This is the strategy RRL have seemingly taken, I find it to be a good, cautious approach to success. Although the discoveries need to be tested and appraised, surely, with oil or gas being confirmed on the blocks already, there is a good case to suggest that this is not going to end up with dusters like TRP. Hence a strong conviction that either Goergia, Puntland or both will lead to a commercial discovery like Texas. The share price does suggest that this is not reflecting some of the potential value RRL holds in its Georgian blocks. Certainley not a reflection of what Puntland is worth. I guess in the shortterm, until we have concrete developments re. them two projects, it'll only reflect ongoing progress in Texas. So for some, Texas reserve report will be the end of the road. While others, knowing that Puntland will be drilled this year, will take the opportunity to build a position at these prices. Cash | cashandcard

05/5/2010 14:57 | I think I will pass on your offer SAGEM.......oh and by the way you are: SAGEM - 5 May'10 - 14:54 - 9933 of 9933 (Filtered) | monkey puzzle
05/5/2010 14:54 | Everybody seems to be talking as though Range have already found the huge amount of oil that we are all hoping for....they certainly have not and it is still a GAMBLE that may pay off and I am only talking about the wells yet to be drilled....the share price is telling us all that we need to know until news arrives. Thats how my investment mind works. Now you have all the time in the world to rubbish my statement and I am sure somebody out their will or may even agree. All we need is some luck because thats really all that it is about. We may get some news in the next week or two good or bad so good luck to us all | sagem
05/5/2010 14:19 | Yes exactly - anyone else think the Georgian blocks may be taken out post seismic analysis?? | fairdeal2008
05/5/2010 14:14 | thanks FD good strategy by GSHL...take out the middle man to supply your own industires they might even buy out our blocks once we prove up some reserves Ü | pheonix07
05/5/2010 14:09 | cash - Appreciate your views thanks for taking the time to reply. | alistair4444
05/5/2010 13:34 | ;-) People haven't yet realised the potential of the Georgian blocks. A nice 300mn barrel find would do something for the share price ha. imho | fairdeal2008
05/5/2010 13:33 | Fairdeal, I believe the above two blocks adjoin RRL's VIa VIb !!!!!! Cash | cashandcard
05/5/2010 13:25 | Georgia's Oil Block GSHL also entered in energy sector by acquiring two oil blocks in Georgia through its subsidiary Global Oil & Energy Limited [GOEL]. One of the two blocks, Block-VIIB, is already producing oil and the second one is under exploration. The two blocks are estimated to have about 550 million barrels of reserves and once production stabilizes GOEL targets production of 4000-5000 barrels a day within next 3 years (Bloomberg, 2008). Fianchetto (2009) clarified that GSHL's Georgian acquisition consisted of two oil and gas areas - Block-VIIB and Block VIII - in the Black Sea region. Block-VIIB, located 350 km from Tbilisi, Georgia's capital, has reserves of 350 million barrels, while Block-VIII holds 220 million barrels. The move was aimed at becoming a major player in natural resources with emphasis on minerals and raw materials for steel making and energy sectors. | fairdeal2008
05/5/2010 13:20 | Good stuff Cash, Captain, FD & good to have you back Doc any comments on the Mittals (global steel Holdings) buying up blocks near range's in Georgia?? shrewd operators with deep pockets......the Georgian dark horse might surprise us all Ü | pheonix07
05/5/2010 12:42 | Cash, brian, fairdeal, Alistair, all good posts. 30m pounds! Texas (Smith 1) will prove us up beyond that. So what value Georgia and Puntland????? Wait for the report, then wait for analyst interpretation to fair value. Whoo, hoooooo. | notarealdr |
