Yes, it's a timing issue. They expense the costs of their own new installations up front meaning no profit until future periods and are reducing the low margin insurance business where they get paid per installation up front. So EBITDA will be less this year but larger and more predictable in future years.

i am unsure as to the reassurance in the agm trading update - the board is confident of meeting consensus expectations for 2019 - well, the footnote states that the consensus ebitda is £6.7m, which is lower than 2018 and 2017

What's the consensus on the final dividend and the extra cash payment..

Price and volume will determine where this goes - I ignore all forecasts, opinions etc these days as its all noise.

It is always irritating when someone comes on a thread to suggest swapping funds into a share they are trying to pump. QTX is on my watch list to buy it it wants to move up. As for the link I always go and see if the tip is something I should short so that's what I shall do now

Mmmmm.
I reckon the story hasn't changed, so I'm sticking with QTX, although I am not adding.
My holding yields 5%.
I have some concerns about the high valuation, and about the cost/risk of the US enterprise.
However, management is prudent, so I will take the US activity to be sensible for the time being.
The SafeSpeed database is a USP and must be a great marketing feature.
I think the insurance market price story has been going for about five years, perhaps, so am not concerned.
Their marketing and the broker software looks very good.
Interims late July, so there will be another 4 months data since the rns.

After holding Qtx for several years and adding several times I have finally taken profit. This is a well run company but with increasing competition I feel that there is more opportunity elsewhere. I have shifted some of the proceeds into RWS and Franklin Covey (US stock). Time will tell if this was the right move or not. Good luck to all remain holders.

Clever investors would look into TRAK and switch there, locking their profits here and jump on a turnaround in its early days there.

All IMO/DYOR

I think they'll produce decent results for a while longer, but I'm getting the impression that they haven't kept up with the competition. My guess is that their semi-withdrawal from the insurance market has been forced upon them rather than a planned retreat despite what they say.

Market cap. looks decidedly racy imo given today's trading statement.

As ever, AIMHO DYOR etc.

Surprised shares been relatively unscathed. 2018 numbers left unchanged but 2019 numbers cut to 11.5p of earnings. Not sure it deserves a circa 30 pe multiple.

Another miss and 0 growth. No mention of how UK is doing, so must be really bad.

Clock ticking until major shareholders start to exit here. No growth and a sky high PE.

Actually I believe it was announced some time ago and the new CFO was due to start on 1st January with there being a period of handover with the former CFO

It's not the CEO, it's the former CFO who left the company some time ago. Not a surprise therefore that has sold shares.

Massive dump of the CEO's holding, is that 50% of his stock sold now?

280k options vesting over 5 years - quite a generous incentive!
