Publicly traded crypto miner Core Scientific filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on Dec. 21 at the Southern District of Texas bankruptcy court.

According to court documents, the miner has liabilities between $1 billion- $10 billion. It has over 1,000 creditors, with the largest unsecured claim owed to B. Riley Financial –the bankrupt firm owes the investment bank $42.36 million.

2O23 is going to be blast off year for QBT. We are probably looking at 20p to 30p on initial commercialisation of the 30% software, with more to follow with other advances such as quantum computing. Any financial awards from the legal cases and arbitration will be a bonus.

For me the AI technology uses will be just as, if not more so, than the bitcoin mining. The speed of the microchips is critical in AI.

The company and its staff must be convinced as to the future value of shares or they would not stay. The extension of the share option scheme has greatly reduced the downside risk I am far more relaxed concerning the future and with the hope of something from the court cases there is good potential upside well into 2023. Recent news that QBT's Method "B" provides a 30% boost to the number of Bitcoins mined, without any increase in energy use and regardless of ASIC chip, means company success is guaranteed. For shareholders it's now just a matter of accumulating as many shares as possible for the upside.

FG is also one of the more trustworthy CEOs out there (not that means much). QBT could be one of the shares that announces something seismic in AI and machine learning

Having had my doubts concerning this company, I cannot believe that the share option scheme is a charade and it does now, to some extent, reassure me that I can have some confidence in the company delivering in the next twelve months. Nothing in life is assured other than death and taxes but risk and patience can sometimes be rewarded. A good opportunity to back your judgement!
