"Quantum Blockchain Technologies Plc (LON:QBT) today announced the death of Mr Reginald Eccles, independent non-executive director of the company.

The company said:

“It is with great sadness that the board of Quantum Blockchain Technologies (AIM: QBT) regrets to announce the death of Mr Reginald Eccles, independent non-executive director of the Company. The Board extends its deepest condolences and sympathies to Mr Eccles’ family and would like to take this opportunity to express its thanks for his contribution to the development of the Company”.

Francesco Gardin, CEO and Chairman of QBT, commented:

“Reg’s departure is a huge loss for the Company. He has been an unbelievably experienced and supportive independent Director over the last seven years. His immaculate integrity has always been at the heart of all the decisions that we have made and his curiosity in every and each aspect of the development of QBT has been admirable. Reg was always available for endless discussions at any time of day or night, always providing his clear and pragmatic view. I have a lost a dear friend.”

Reginald Eccles sat on the boards of a number of public and private companies over the past four decades, including most recently, Toledo Mining Corporation plc where he acted as Chairman and Pan European Terminals plc as Senior Independent Director. He began his career as a business and financial analyst, working in both the UK and South Africa.

In 1979, he co‐founded a consultancy and publishing company, with offices in the UK and Australia, which was sold in 1988.

Subsequently, he held senior positions at a number of investment banks including establishing a global network of mining analysts and sale staff to support the ABN AMRO and Rothschild Bank joint venture."

There are some idiots on this thread, Losing Mr Eccles is sad as clearly he was the CEOs right hand man but at 77 I'm sure he had a good innings. Won't take too long to appoint so that trading can resume.

“Strong rumour” that’s funny as none of the trades are reflected in this - in fact the share price went down, not what you would expect from a “string rumour”
