Still no update...shall we wait for Method D, mining rock pools in Morecambe looking for clams. Eric (RIP) could probably achieve more than Vlad but at least it would make for a good RNS and push the share price up to 1.2p for a day.

iceagefarmer, you seem to know as much about the law as you do about QBT's prospects, which is to say not a lot.

The article may or may not be well founded, but it is striking how the cognoscenti on this board lap up any '100 bagger' or even '1000 bagger' post, with nary a warning that the poster might be misleading people and that be liable in law for doing so, but see anything remotely negative or even cautious as actionable!

I feel confident that the FT article would have been all over this board as 'proof' that QBT will soon go vertically north had it been even remotely positive.

If Captain sharetalk had moderating powers over the FT, that article would not have lasted long!

As it is, he is really fighting an uphill battle now that the 'trolls' have even infiltrated the FT! Poor old Sharetalk. My heart goes out to him.

i thinks there are grounds to sue the writer of this article and the FT for publishing it..they really should have done their research on professor Gardin because he is a master of the law..you do not trash an Aim company like this without credible evidence..i expect a rns soon re this

Serious allegations or not it would it not be simplistic to rewrite the hashing algorithms to defeat any attempt to basically cheat the mining process and return mining to a level playing field.

In part, assuming I have deciphered their stuff correctly, one of the claims by QBT is that they have identified a problem with the way that blocks are delivered to rigs along with the associated information that allows them to guess the next likely answer.

You would have to assume, or hope, that a trillion dollar industry would take action should such issues exist prior to someone like The SEC pulling their rug.

My guess would be that the FT article has been written as a teaser based on opinion in order to give QBT the opportunity to hang themselves harder before coming up with real evidence to deliver the final blow. For the moment they are just pulling wings.

Your other option would be that the FT have decided to blow themselves up and become a no-one on Twitter with two followers and a You Tube channel they cannot sign in to.

These are very serious allegations you would expect the Company to rebutt them.
You can’t leave comments like this in the public domain unanswered.

Reading some of the extracts I'm a bit the author might have been reading these boards and done a bit of digging for themselves. Hopefully no-one is slagging them off as being Multi-ID shorting scum being employed by German Investment funds trying to get in at a lower price shorter tick up merchants. They might dig harder.

Looks like the idiot board are not allowing links to the article being posted.

Talk about sticking your head in the sand.

Seems there is a big seller, 500k chunks being dropped on a regular basis.

Toys are well and truly out of the pram Sounds like written by a child . Pot and Kettle

Unpleasant article with zero facts, does the writer have proof of what he says, thought not, personally I think it sounds like it was written by a child.

They have zero proof of how anything is being done and have made stuff up on what they think might be.

As for QBT have provided no proof, they are live testing now, proof is due, all smells a bit fishy to me.

So even if QBT succeed, which is unlikely according to experts, the protocol can be changed to negate their Methods.

Killer stuff. Sea of red atm. This could push them well below 1p.

Blimey, that is some hit piece article. Must make for unpleasant reading for those invested. Almost mocking in tone:

'None of these peculiarities are out of character for Quantum Blockchain, which even by the wild-west standards of London’s junior market has been an odd investment. Its annual revenue has been zero or negligible in 21 of the 23 years since its foundation. Its aggregate net loss over the whole period, with 2023 figures not yet available, has exceeded £100mn:

Quantum Blockchain’s main backer for at least a decade has been Eufingest, a Swiss-based company that has provided several loans and to our knowledge has never declared another investment.

Since announcing its pivot to crypto in 2018 the company has raised nearly £5mn with share placings. It also placed shares in 2017, 2016, 2015, 2014, 2012, 2010 and 2009. More than 70 per cent of Quantum Blockchain stock sits in retail broker nominee accounts.

One conclusion to take from the AsicBoost saga is that, if any party finds a better way to mine crypto, the most profitable strategy is to mine lots of crypto. Publicising the method will only cause a fight about what the community considers fair and might prompt a redesign of the protocol.'
