'Actionable strategies for a sustainable future from shipping's first movers Across three sessions, the summit will take an in-depth exploration of the intersection of sustainability and the business of marine fuels. Our speakers will include the first-mover shipowners and operators that are taking steps now to tackle their greenhouse gas emissions by investing in new fuels and hunting for supply. Finance experts will discuss the puzzle of financing new fuel technology and how the ESG pressures in banking and investing will impact shipping’s decarbonisation path. And we’ll take a deep dive into the markets for alternative marine fuels to figure out how shipping will obtain supplies amid competition with other industries for volumes. The Forum is comprised of three panels: Session One First movers: Shipowners and operators chart a course to lower-carbon fuels Session Two Financing fuel: The hunt for capital for green fuel technology Session Three Solving the puzzle: lining up technology and supply for new fuels' Guess who has been invited to speak in the above? 17/2/2023 18:56 | There seem a lot of companies dropping today. Sign of the times perhaps. A lot more chat on L S E from genuine holders, too,I notice. Even though they are understandably disappointed with the lack of news. However, different posters are sharing useful general articles in the sphere... thank you to them for the articles above. | hazl
17/2/2023 14:27 | Now you know that everything goes in cycles ....thebutler. I too was in them way back. Buy low sell high if you believe in a company. If it's speculative spend sensibly. Now this is interesting....they know each other and we are involved with Nouryon and MSC. Business profile picture Maersk @Maersk We are honoured to be chosen as Supplier of The Year by @Nouryon , in the category Special Event Support. The #award recognizes suppliers for their flexibility & creativity in navigating unforeseen #supplychain challenges, as well as for strong & transparent #communication. | hazl
17/2/2023 13:35 | Ouch 29p….you sold too soon. These will probably be £5 a share this time next year | kreature
17/2/2023 13:20 | I remember selling some of these for 29p about 10 years ago when I realised nothing was happening. Looks like I was right! | thebutler
17/2/2023 13:10 | Also now that Nouryon and Quadrise have signed up for another three years we might hear some ongoing news there. We have made some good contacts just when the leaders have srarted to put more bricks in place for the energy switch over. Anybody see Bath which follows Oxford for reroutes in the future? Interesting they are calling them cells. | hazl
17/2/2023 12:06 | MSC – In July 2022, Quadrise signed a Framework Agreement with MSC to carry out trials of bioMSAR™ and MSARĀ® fuels with a view to the commercial supply of one or both of the fuels to MSC's global fleet. Proof-of-concept tests are planned for Q1 2023, following which MSC will run the LONO trials. MSC and QFI have an understanding....you seem to have nil. You move on....oh you probably can't can you? | hazl
17/2/2023 10:53 | I concede that neither are for sale in the open market today. ….inventory is probably out of fuel move on to next pump | kreature
17/2/2023 09:14 | I will concede that it is MSAR that is cheaper than conventional fuels but bioMSAR gives better CO2 and cost savings than existing biofuels. ... where MSAR or bioMSAR may be used either as an alternative fuel source . Thanks. Edited above. | hazl
16/2/2023 19:52 | I thought the central London office was evacuated for good during covid ? Surely no need for it anyway ? PS, I think Sallad has asked you a question hasl.. PS PS What’s with all the 220 trades today? Oddness | kreature
16/2/2023 14:43 | HAZL your 5259 "BioMSAR is not more expensive it is cheaper than conventional fuels." How do you reach that conclusion? Can you point to the evidence? | sallad3
16/2/2023 14:17 | This sums it up for me..... 'To achieve the goals outlined in the Paris Agreement, drastic emission reductions must happen across all sectors. While shipping is recognised as the least greenhouse gas producing form of a mass cargo transportation, it is also one of the hardest industries to decarbonise. This is because there is a lack of scalable solutions available for the industry to make the transition. To put it simply, there is no one solution that would fit all or that could be considered a longer-term solution. There are a lot of lofty ideas and aspirations, but no real solutions at hand for us to purchase and install on our ships today.' | hazl |
