I haven't checked this out but it makes sense.

'But EU regulations pushed to reduce sulphur levels to below a certain percentage which is now becoming the norm, so a VLSFO is and will become very sought after going forward, hence why the Utah deal with Valkors heavy sweet oil company will be quite lucrative for QFI as we will have an Msar/BioMsar VLSFO gaining best of both worlds right off the line, no refinery required making it much cheaper than refined VLSFO and much more friendly for the environment due to QFI's technology.'

And thanks to crownos on L S E.

You think oil refineries don’t already employ the best scientists in the world ?
You think oil refineries need outside help from QFI?

“ This company might surprise everyone....me included.”

With what? Anything they do would surely need to be done by an oil refinery who could do it by themselves if it were ever needed right?

This company might surprise everyone....me included.
However in the last six months most shares have gone down more than QFI.
We know that the spread is used to scare the odd trader out.

The price has been much the same for a couple of weeks sometimes finishing blue sometimes red but with very little change it seems to me.

I don't know why your'e worried?

I'm not.

Don't forget...

Maersk Bremerhaven is now officially registered in the IMO registry as MSC Bremerhaven .

This is the Seago Istanbul's (MSC Leandra) sister ship and has the same engine.

h/t to MSB78 for noticing Bremerhaven squawking as "MSC" a few weeks ago.

BP. has been doing well for me ...and it reflects the oil price rises....even though it has invested in alternative energies, too.

I find it is a useful gauge, for us too.
The higher the oil price the more viable BioMSAR
becomes.

QFI that help the move away from fossil fuels.

As above you can never tell when an RNS might arrive.

I would have thought intelligent holders would rather see a few informative posts.

Quadrise Fuels to test both diesel alterrnatives with shipping giant MSC

Proof of concept and operational trials will take place ahead of a potential deal for the global fleet
Container ship

Quadrise signed a new framework agreement for its diesel alternative with a subsidiary of MSC Mediterranean Shipping, the operator of one of the world’s largest container fleets.

Cyprus-based MSC Shipmanagement will carry out proof-of-concept (POC) tests and operational trials using Quadrise’s bioMSAR and MSAR fuels ahead of a potential global deal.

MSC and Quadrise are already collaborating on a trial for MSAR, an enhanced emulsified synthetic heavy fuel oil (HFO), on commercial container vessels.

Jason Miles, Quadrise Fuel’s chief executive, said: "Quadrise is delighted to have signed this new agreement with MSC Shipmanagement, the biggest in-house ship management company globally responsible for the largest container ship fleet in the world."

“MSC sets the standard for energy efficiency and biofuel use in the marine sector, and we believe that our bioMSAR and MSAR technology offers an excellent solution to accelerate their decarbonisation and emissions reduction efforts," Miles added.

Testing under the new agreement will be carried out on a vessel now owned by MSC but that had previously been used in a prior demonstration of MSAR.

It is scheduled to start by the end of 2022, subject to the ship being available.

Each POC trial will require 1,000 metric tons (MT) of fuel to confirm engine performance on the vessel.

A successful POC will be followed by operational trials to provide commercial operating experience with a view to obtaining Letters of No Objection (LONOs) from the engine manufacturer.

Approximately 25,000MT of fuel will be required for each of the operational trials, with fuel to be produced by Quadrise and purchased by MSC.

Discussions with other ship owners can continue while MSC testing is ongoing, Quadrise said.

Prabhat Jha, CEO of MSC Shipmanagement, noted: "MSC Shipmanagement is delighted to be working with the Quadrise team under this new agreement, as together we have an important enabling role in the marine energy transition towards a net zero carbon future and reducing our own vessel emissions.

“MSC has one of the youngest fleets among the world's leading shipping lines, and we seek to continually improve energy efficiency by collaborating with suppliers.”
