I am just wondering out loud here, do you think multiple posts = someone who might be holding too bigger position for their pot size, or, perhaps are holding a position which might be under water?

Just a thought...

The Billion pound valuation is ridiculous, reminiscent of the days just before the dot com bubble. Prime shorters target when the autumn market correction kicks in.

Seems that nobody is worried about the company breaching the AIM rules on a day like today. Suppose investors don't actually read the annual report anyway, given its loss making! Managed to find the 2016 annual report at Companies House. No sign of the 2017 one!

Very shoddy outfit.

The move into the US markets is thwart with multiple problems, a much bigger US competitor will set up and clean up, can you imagine a US consumer with the choice of using one of their own or a British outfit. Designed to joint the graveyard of previous Brit Companies in the US..remember Tesco!

Already problems in the Australian market.

They might want to try and price themselves in the UK first for 5 years and if they have established a big brand then take it overseas but US market will not work imho.

Run that by me again.........................

A DIRECTOR dumped 60k shares a few days before a BBC EXPOSE hit the screens?

Taking into account the BBC will have filmed its EXPOSE prior to last nights airing and that letters and emails will have passed between the 2 for weeks prior ?

Has he been sacked and charged by the FCA yet ?

Anyone manage to find any Purplebricks' annual reports on their web-site? Its a breach of the AIM Rule 26 I think you will find.

Very poor showing by CEO , clearly not used to being caught with his trousers down , unlike many in the city who would lie even to the pope , the company needs to clean up it's act , and put in place a marketing man with some integrity.

I dont dispute its an interesting company, but there is lots of competition, there is potentially a weak property market on the horizon, the directors keep selling and it is way ahead of events. Whilst I understand why they force users to take out a loan, that will scare many off

PURP is a disruptor, no doubt about that, plus their adverts are very well done, there might be teething troubles along the way, even (severe?) pull backs, but I feel bullish on them going forward. GLA.

Quite a weak "expose" on PURP, I thought. Nothing of substance, that can't be fixed.

Also, at least the CEO of PURP showed up in the Watchdog studio, and apologised - of sorts. I think he comes across as very nervous, and awkward - needs some media training. Or get someone else to do it.

He should have just apologised profusely & unreservedly, and promised to fix everything. That would have totally neutralised the interviewer. Instead, she had to drag that out of him. Schoolboy errors really.

Overall impact - nothing, I would say. So share price should rebound strongly.

Regards, Paul. (very long - PURP is a rare, scaled-up internet disrupter, so very valuable)

probably misleads less than your average estate agent, and is a heck of a lot cheaper

and they have promised to sort it

that was the message I took away from it

People don't like being blantantly mislead though, hardly something to be proud about, the whole business model is flawed. Billion pound valuation is ridiculous, first to correct when the general markets correct this autumn, bubbles everywhere, some colored purple.
