Timing hasn't been revealed..bear in mind Puretech originally had a 3pc royalty..Monetised by Royalty Pharma $100m up front $400m in stages..I would expect some on approval.the rest as sales ramp up.Puretech is due $8m from Karuna on FDA approval.

PureTech is also eligible to receive up to $400 million in potential future milestone payments from its deal with Royalty Pharma and retains the right to certain royalty payments based on the sales of KarXT, as well as 20 percent sublicense income covered by PureTech's license agreement with Karuna.

Has it been made clear what the timings are for these cash payments yet

A tender offer for up to 50m pounds at 225p.for example would clear out loose holders,be asset value per share enhancing.and change the basis.maybe 75m pounds at 250p.so many permutations...spoil for choice.

Why the rush? £480m with decent treasury management returns £20m pa and in the meantime they hoover up stock with the buyback. The offer needs to go unconditional before a capital returns policy is announced and in the meantime they will be consulting with all the key shareholders who all have different opinions and tax implications. Its not simple. They may even consider inorganic to add pipeline to the portfolio. Trust the management team.

With 480 m pounds in cash with potentially 316m pounds to come in milestones ..the board should address the capital allocation strategy ASP

Added at £1.80 aka marketcap = net cash excluding milestone payments. Very happy!

If the market knows the seller is a forced seller and will need several more days/weeks to clear out, it will no doubt tempt the traders who short in here sadly which will only add to the share price drift...

Institutions can be consulted in coming weeks so that when the Karuna money arrives the plan can be implemented PDQ

that is helpful - much to look forward to then :) the constant selling will ultimately bring a buyers strike I suspect with those waiting on the sidelines for a stable pattern to emerge and the seller gone - shame we cannot call the market makers and find out how much overhang is left...

There is probably 300m dollars to play with.Daphne will consult with the big holders. This has been flagged since September and there seems no rush.A tender offer at a premium is probably the best way to clear the holders who need to sell/top slice. This will get the shares to a fairish level and will increase assets per share. Not everyone will need to participate. If it's pitched to low then there will be limited take up.Cash payment is also possible.Maybe a combination of the two.

I am not as close to these numbers as you are Colin, but on the above basis what is the likely most they can return to shareholders as a special dividend in your view

As a long term holder the longer we stay at a net cash position the more accretive the buyback is so i am pretty relaxed. I have order buy limits set just below net cash incase!

It is hard to read too much into the trades but to my glance it appears someone is dumping c.200-300k a day, the firm is buying back c.100k a day sometimes a little more and net retail demand picking up the rest - as we drop further we may get stop losses being triggered.
Let's hope over the next week or two this selling activity lessens and with the firm's buy backs in place we can pick back up again...

Correct, the auction creates a trade at a mutually acceptable price between the seller(s) and buyer(s)

Could someone advise me, I thought that shares in the auction were matched, if i'm correct, at least there is a buyer.

A seller is still rogering the stock at the closing auction, needs to stop before this can go higher
